Budget smartphone?
Hi I'd be really grateful for recommendations please. My lovely husband bought me an iPhone 5s for Xmas - rather extravagant but I love it...... Anyway it has made him realise that his 3yr old htc is a bit old and slow now. I'd like to buy him a smartphone outright - he doesn't believe in contracts - he would go mad if I spent £500 on him - does anybody have any suggestions for around £100-£150 please? He uses his phone for email, Facebook, as a phone and occasional camera - fairly basic.

The Moto G is an absolute no brainer if you are after a budget smartphone (it would be interesting to see where the extra £450 has been spent on your 5S lol!). I think direct from Vodafone at £100 is the cheapest price now Tesco have increased their price. Easily unlocked for a couple of quid by code from ebay.

Hiya
Take a look at Kazam mobiles.
They are dual sim and pretty cheap.
They're a new company but run by a couple of the Execs from HTC.
I've got a Trooper 4.5 and for £90 it's good.

Moto G, Samsung Galaxy Ace is a good one too.0

The Moto G and the Galaxy Ace are miles apart in terms of almost everything. I wouldn't recommend the Ace. Just search Google for "Galaxy Ace Memory Problem".0

Another vote for the Moto G. The Galaxy Ace is money down the drain as it has major memory issues.0
