I have tried the latest Motorola G phones and been very impressed. A friend of mine is insisting of spending a lot more money and buying one of the latest iphones with roughly the same screen size

In simple terms is there any real advantage of the latest iphone over the Motorola G at about a third of the price?

Bye the way I am not a fan of iTunes! (I use Spotify Premium)

IPhone has better camera/has 4g capability/is a lot thinner. If none of those bother you then save yourself money and get the Motorola. It is a great phone for that price. In fact you could have 4 moto g's for the price of an IPhone.
  • There's absolutely no getting away from the fact that a phone like the Moto G just makes iPhones look even more vastly overpriced. In fact the screen on the Moto G is not only bigger (4.5" as opposed to 4") than the one on the flagship, £549 iPhone 5S, it also has higher resolution and PPI. Generally speaking, the display is the single most expensive component on a smartphone. Says it all really.

    Get the Motorola.
You'll never get abuse for buying one of them, but dare to buy an Apple product and you're the most stupid person in the world.
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

Well ive got one (although the 8gb one) and I put it against a friends brand new iphone 5s and I must say he was very very impressed with mine... Although his had thumb print recognition and im a bit of a newbee when it comes to mobiles. I wasn't sure whether I could have something similar on mine.
Yes iphone was lighter and whiter, but I preferred the screen on mine and so did he and actually commented on the fact it has no buttons showing and everything was on the screen and it disappeared when you were viewing stuff.
He also liked the fact you can get a cover where you can take off the back off this phone and snap it on which comes with a magnetic cover. As hed ordered an aluminium one and it was too bulky so hes having to send that back now.
I don't want to go on as im sure there are lots of differences... but Overall he was gutted that mine was just as good at the price I paid.

Wow! It appears your £99 Motorola runs iOS 7. God, i feel like a right dildo for buying a phone costing £549 when i could have bought a £99 phone which also runs iOS7 :rotfl:
<heads off to fleabay to put his iphone 5S for sale and then off to Tesco's>
