Parking Eye court notice what now?

Hello
At the end of December we received a parking charge notice from Parking Eye. I looked at some of the posts and most said to ignore as it was not enforceable.. We have now received a Letter Before County Court Claim. What action would you advise as I think it would be too late not to appear?

  • Ignoring hasn't been the advice for over a year, unless you are from Scotland.

This thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822 tells you everything you need to know.
  • you need to post in the parking ticket section

However in that section, you need to read the newbies thread, and you need to respond to this LBCC

You will most likely receive a county court claim

  • thank you, Unfortunately putting in various searches on the web brought up this response in general. I have spent quite some time this morning looking for a relevant thread to help with our situation, but haven't found anything yet that advises on what we should do, having not responded to the letters, and now having court letter. are you able to point in the right direction, or should we just pay up?
  • So you didn't see post #2 in the thread I linked that specifically deals with a Letter before county court claim?
  • thank you. I think I got lost in all of the links from the #1 post, I just needed pointing in the right direction. That has been really helpful. Letters going off today.

I would spend your time researching and preparing your defence.
If you google parking prankster, he has a guide and template you can download for the cost of a pint, his defence has seen them off more than once.

The LBCCA saga has never stopped them or prevented a court case from been heard.
Use your time and energy to prepare a robust defence.
    Be happy...;)

Haven't seen you posting on the right forum yet, of course. Please do research NOW as you are 'this close' to small claims court right now and there are loads of threads about how to defend. You appear to have missed the entire Parking tickets forum!

When you send the LBCCC Formal response to PE they will then reply with a nine page pile of template rubbish about court cases they won a year ago. You'd know all that and be better prepared, if you were on the right forum and read all the zillions of other PE LBCCC threads over there. Doesn't mean you then pay them.

OLD ADVICE and you didn't notice the date? Fairly astonished how many people say they have done a search on tinternet and thought that reading old advice on an old thread was a good idea. From any old thread you randomly found on Google you would have been ONE click away from the parking forum page one telling you to appeal. But for the sake of that one click, here you are (and still not yet on the parking forum!).

No wonder you didn't find a thread about Parking Eye on the wrong forum - you may just as well have searched on the coupons board!

Strangely enough here is ONE random thread like yours here on the Motoring Board by mistake, too:

Not much use though as that person also still oblivious to the right place to look for advice. There are so many threads & advice about this on the right forum!
