I am also currently awaiting a mortgage offer from Santander. However, I do not seem to have been waiting as long as some of you have. My application went in via my broker on 16th May. Went to underwriting queue on 21st and today they have confirmed all satisfactory and have instructed valuation. Should receive offer as soon as valuation has been completed hopefully.
That is very good news, some like me had it bad but it's not the same for all. Once ours was sent to Valuation everything moved very quickly for us.0 -
OMG u guys are killing me. Comon valuation. I'm dying here I want to know if we are finally going to move into our first family home after years of renting. Nothing still from the broker.0

I can confirm this too, however I must admit that I bank with Santander and that could have gave them extra confidence.0 -
I don't bank with them but did go through an IFA which might have helped? They did not need to ask for any additional documents as everything they needed was sent through in the first place. Mine is a help to by equity scheme application so I don't know if this makes any difference either. Just keeping my fingers crossed the valuation come back OK now!0

Intermediary Case Tracker says its still with the underwriters but my broker did email to say its now back from the head office after it was audited and they are ready to proceed and will update the system in due course...Valuation in the coming days...
IS THIS B/S?0 -
Well, blunder after blunder on Abbey's part and many an ear-bashing from our broker, Abbey agreed to fast track our case. The have had it for 9 weeks now and have been incredibly incompetent and unfair. They promised a decision within 24 hours so we should've heard this afternoon. But no, it's been left until Monday. Of course it has. :mad:0

FTB 5% deposit on htb scheme
AIP with Halifax through broker. House offered accepted so full application went in on 16th May to Santander. At the time the rates were cheaper and there was no fee to pay. Further information required and that was sent on 21st May. Email received yesterday from broker to say he had chased it up and was going to be another 3 working days before updated.
Email at 3.30pm from broker with details to say mortgage approved subject to valuation.0 -
Woohoo it's been about 24 working days since application and we finally have our mortgage offer first thing Saturday morning. Survey to be done Monday or Tuesday. Soooooo happy, so didn't think we would get here.0

Highly probable that the internal audit function is spot checking applications. More to do with checking that procedures and checks are being properly undertaken rather than your personal application.0
