You can monitor the date they are up to here:

My last docs went in early on 25th and it was passed to do underwriting early this morning (had confirmation) so likely to hear Tuesday. I'm thinking Tues/wed for you?

This now says it is assessing extra documentation and applications sent to underwriting on the 28th. Our additional docs were sent over on the 26th and we have heard nothing. MA has Tuesdays off but assured us yesterday we would get a text direct from Santander and we didn't hear today. Aaaggggghhh

The additional docs dont go straight to the underwriter, so you would have joined the docs queue on 26th and then passed to underwriting on 28th or maybe even yesterday. Your broker should be able to confirm when it went to underwriting. As I said in previous post, we are a day in front of you and received offer subject to valuation this afternoon so I think you will hear something tomorrow.

If you know your case number you can access your mortgage tracking by going to the MATs system on that same website and logging on with your case number and current postcode no spaces as password. Might help put your mind to rest about dates. Hang on in there!

We have never had any texts from Santander though?

Thankyou Shoey. I was not aware we could check ourselves. After trying unsuccessfully to contact them direct just assumed we had to stick with (useless) MA!

Hope you hear soon, its a horrible wait, but hopefully will all be worth it in the end.

I'm playing the waiting game too - eventually after a bit of back and forwarding, I'm in the underwriting queue!
    Fingers crossed its good news!

Well I didn't even get a chance to get stressed between case being agreed and offered....! Mortgage agreed by underwriters yesterday afternoon, valuation this morning, offer communicated to broker this afternoon :j Can't fault that speed!

Just waiting for my homebuyers which took place today too and then should be ready to exchange if no bombshells in homebuyers. I'm so happy :j

    Congratulations!

Just hope mine moves that quickly once they look at it!!! Been backwards and forwards a few times for docs, so finally my application should be in the underwriters hands today!
I've been checking the tracking system every hour on the hour to see for any updates!

Did you get your HB with the same company as the Valuation?

I'm thinking of getting them to do the whole thing together to hopefully speed things along a bit!

What's the password for accessing Mats? Is it only MA have access to it ?

    thanks
  • I too am waiting on my mortgage from Abbey/ Santander. Gone through a broker, submitted everything last week, and underwriters requested some docs. So they have been sent off, now waiting again to hear back. So frustrating!
