come back here if you win and tell us
come back here if you lose for further advice
nobody has a crystal ball but we dont expect you to pay ANPR one penny , so quit asking before you destroy any goodwill from the members here
the object is to win, that is what you focus on0 -
Thank you all for your help. Much appreciated!!!!
I am a complete newbie in terms of forums. I just suffer from anxiety and feel really stupid for taking legal advice!

In this order...
1 send KIFL's letter
2 start preparing your appeal to POPLA
3 when you get a letter from ANPR with the code, pm it to a regular to get it checked
4Post up your POPLA appeal to get it checked
5 send off your POPLA appeal
6 wait for letter from POPLA upholding your appeal
DO NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING.
That's it.
As KIFL says - no more questions as there is nothing more we can tell you at this stage.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

In my first reply here I said a monkey could beat Trev the Clamp at POPLA, and it is true! Have you done research but not found all the time we have laughed at ANPR Ltd, they are THE JOKE firm of the BPA! He's an ex-clamper who got 'gunged' on Noel Edmonds House party and his firm are so proud of his TV appearances looking like a right lemon, they have them linked on their website - LOOK!

They adviced i call or write to ANRP to negotiate a deal, and also advised that the appeal to POPLA probably wouldnt get anywhere as they are on the side of ANRP and didnt want to risk me having the increase.
Please tell me who gave you the recent terrible advice to try to negotiate with ANPR Ltd! Was it the CAB? You should complain once you've won this.
YOU WILL WIN AT POPLA.
YOU WILL PAY NOTHING.
POPLA ARE NOT ON ANY SIDE AND WE KNOW HOW TO WIN. WHAT IS IT ABOUT OUR 100% POPLA WINS THAT YOU DOUBT?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you! You have all restored my faith and I actually slept last night! and I wished id never bothered with getting legal advice and followed my gut instinct after reading on here i had nothing to fear.
As I said I spent ages reading and defiantly saw all those comments about them being the scumbags but i thought what harm would it do calling up for legal advice mainly i wanted to confirm that they were scumbags- as i said they gave me conflicting advice which I regret!
My original advice was from the CAB but I called up the legal advice team I get with my Trade Union who put me through to a solicitor firm so I do not know the exact company.
I gave up with that advice because the 2nd time i called the lady i was speaking too was really just looking on the internet and telling me about POPLA which i told her I knew all that already so felt she was wasting my time. She said call up ANRPltd and say can I pay £50 and explain about the post etc and given it was holiday season. I said that would never happen I just wanted to know where I actually stood legally to know if I was worrying for nothing (which when i got the ticket i wasn't worried i was just angry- I wasn't going to let them win especially after reading everything on here. But i felt so crushed once i spoke to the legal advisor.0 -
well, you are getting excellent advice now
post #46 is from a "retired solicitor" and post #47 is from a "benefits advisor" or similar who specialises in the EA 2010 etc
never mind the good advice from several other members here who are extremely knowledgeable in this area and the law and popla etc
stick to what you were told here and you will win ! I did0 -

With all due respect to Daisy, solicitors will ALWAYS play it as safe as they possibly can - they fear being held responsible for bad advice. The problem is that too many people take solicitors words as gospel. I've often dismissed solicitors advice and I'm still here to tell the tale ( and not banged up ! )."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -
ive started to write a POPLA appeal, Can I post it here please? Also would it help to see my original appeal letter - Im worried id have put my foot in it somewhere!!0
