This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” is fine.

Morning All
Another damp day here, it rained quite hard yesterday on and off, thinking of those in flooded areas.
Anyone seen Bitsy?
Really tired yesterday, work seemed like quite a long day! Met some friends for a coffee and we organised our annual trip away - Prague this year. Had LO curry for tea and then took out the old dishwasher (the one that was in the house when we moved in) and plumbed in our own which has been lurking in the conservatory! Put the old one on Freegle so hopefully someone should be coming to pick it up soon.
Something with mince for tea, not sure what yet I will decide when I get in from work.
Picked up some knitting yesterday that I started ages ago, hopefully I can get something finished, I'm terrible for being full of enthusiasm at the start and then go on to something else!
Hugs to those not feeling too good. Take care. XX0 -
Morning everyone
Now light here, light cloud but damp underfoot as there’s no wind and the mist yesterday took a while to clear, not too cold either.
DH up and gone to work early but not stupid early.
Dinner last night was sausages, mash, veg and onion gravy. Dessert from the tins for those that wanted some. Tonight menfolk will be having fish, chips and beans. I’m having fish, jacket potato and veg. The hairdresser is coming tonight to re-blond me, and then cut the menfolk’s hair – so like to have a quick and easy tea.
Work wasn’t very busy yesterday morning but then was manic in the afternoon – the time passed so quickly – hoping for another day the same today. I don’t like to wish my time away but I’d rather be busy then not have enough to do!
Keep safe and well x

Morning all
Julie67 - it's not in my knee but in both hips. Absolute agony and frustrating as it is stopping me from doing normal things
Foggy up here today but at least not too frosty like last couple days.
Am taking DD to the gordon highlanders museum today so that should be fun.
Out for dinner tonight as OH goes offshore tomorrow. Could do with him still being home but never mind.
Want to get house as organised as I can today so that while he is away I can just maintain and rest as much as possible for the bursitis
Off to have a cuppy. Hope everyone has a great day xxx0 -
Morning all,
DD still has no home after Friday, Evil landlord could not sign contract yesterday as he was delayed in traffic and none of the estate agent staff would/could wait the 10 mins for him to get there to sign. I can't describe how DD was last night, but I could not sleep. She says she does not know who to believe anymore. She has 3 viewings today with another agent. Thank goodness her employer is being understanding.
Today I shall be ironing my way down the mountain. And worrying.
Just watched a piece on the news about online vs instore shopping, and how shops are losing out. I tried to get trousers yesterday but M&S only had short leg lengths - their default solution is to "order on line", except of course the item is out of stock. Full range of sizes if you are an 8 however (and I am not!). I'll be going on this holiday in a blanket!

Good morning everyone
Tried to get up early today to get me back into work mode for tomorrow but it didn't quite work!
Need to get some bits of shopping today and look at our budget for next month. I think my salary is almost all going to disappear in tax, so need to make sure we are covered. Not much else going on.
Julie - how is your leg?
Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those that need or just want them. Keep well, warm and safe and have a super dayLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

My kids are all back today, DGS and dd and my middle boy and gf are all here for tea.
