Got UKPC Parking Charge

Hi All,
I parked my car in a parking bay of an industrial estate unit on sunday evening (business was closed then) and returned back in 20 mins to find UKPC parking charge pasted on Windscreen. The parking charge mentions
"Parking in a permit space without displaying a valid permit" as reason and payment of 100£ outstanding with reduced charge of 60£ if paid in 14 days.
However, the business unit (e.g. unit 11) didn't have any UKPC notice nor any clear sign to inform about parking restrictions.
The next unit (Unit 12) had UKPC notice board and there was a lamp post in-front of that unit with UKPC notice board too. The lamp post was about 8-10 metres away from the parking bay. Also, the UKPC notice board mentioned 90£ as maximum outstanding amount and reduced charge of 50£ (instead of 100£ and £60 printed on parking charge).
Can UKPC penalise me considering the business unit (i parked on) didn't have any UKPC notice board? If yes, can they charge me £60 (reduced amount) instead of £50 mentioned on UKPC notice board hanging on lamp post. Also, it was sunday and the business unit was closed then.?
Do i stand any chance of winning on appeal? What options do i have? They have taken photographs of my car parked in that bay.
Regards,

its not a fine
read the newbies stickie at the top , answer as the registered keeper not the driver when you appeal and ask for a POPLA code, then the template appeal letter to POPLA when you have your code. You will win on GPEOL ( genuine pre estimate of Loss)Ex forum ambassador

if its private land then you were trespassing, doesnt matter if the business is closed, so yes they can issue you with an invoice (a parking charge notice or pcn)
no they cannot issue a fine as only a judge or a court can do that, but this isnt a fine anyway, its a pcn from a private parking company
now read this https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822
of course you can win at popla , as no loss was made by the landowner0 -
Thanks for replying. Do we have any standard template for appeal submission to UKPC/any other PPC?? I have seen the template for POPLA in other threads.0

Take your time and re-read the newbie thread - it is a very comprehensive and detailed so may need several reads to understand and follow the links.
Yes wait until the NtK arrives - always recommended as appeals are stronger as a keeper (more points and chances for the ppc to mess up).
UKPC - as above appeal will win on no GPEOL (or they will default by not sending evidence) - but will put more points in for them to jump through!0 -
My only worry is hassle of dealing with debt recovery letters or possibility of paying higher parking charge (£100) in the end.0

Wheres the hassle of dealing with letters? are you easily intimidated?
you wont be paying if you take our advice, now await the ntkProud to be a member of the Anti Enforcement Hobbyist Gang.:D:T0 -
Are you able to revisit the site to rebook at all the signs? If so, and being honest, is there any real doubt that the signs are sufficiently misleading to lead you to believe that they only applied to other units?
If so, and with suitable photos and Google Earth of the area, then you have a good case on its own with our normal technical appeal points as back up rather than main artillery.0
