The Spanish would be doing the Scots a favour- especially if this stopped the Scots from ending up like Portugal or Greece by taking the Euro....0 -
I have just had a letter that two of my local agencies one in the town I live and one about 5miles away both of which I use frequently are closing sometime soon.Santander now in their wisdom recommend I use a main branch in a major city which not only will be 40+ mile round trip plus parking fees to use unacceptable as far as I am concerned!!!!! . On another note I am lucky as I can put cash and cheques in my local post office but any other transactions need to be done in Bristol ahhhhhhh not happy !!!0

From the article linked
So the headline does not match the facts.
Surprised there are not more branches going though, I live in a small town and we are now down to 2, the lease ran out on the ex Abbey branch so that closed last year leaving the ex B&B and A&L still going, both of which have had internal re-fits.0 -
Didn't read the entire thread, so apologies if somebody has already mentioned that you can use the Post Office for many transactions: http://www.santander.co.uk/uk/help-support/ways-to-bank/banking-at-your-post-office0
