  • So there a few of us with "I dont want to go back to work tomorrow" feelings. I always get a bit anxious and nervous about going back which is very silly.

I really must do an hours studying at some point this afternoon too, in case my boss asks how its going!! Dont feel very motivated though.

At least I have managed to get some housework done this week in between other things. Its so easy when you dont have to fit it in around the paid stuff!

Oh and I should really give the car a going over - it is seriously filthy - but its cold and windy outside and I hate doing it.

    Have a good afternoon everyone.

    Hello all :D

I don't know where the past week has gone (although I know Wed & Thur was lost to work) so I've not really done any flying while DD has been away. I'm going to start a fresh tomorrow ;)

I was just popping in to declare that I've just munched a frog that's been on my to-do list since August 2009! DD was a bridesmaid at her aunties wedding and being 8 years old at the time you can image the mess her dress was, especially along the hem :o So on Thursday when she got back from her dads wedding she brought that bridesmaid dress home as well and it reminded me that I'd still not washed the other one. Well as I type the first one is going around in the washing machine on a handwash setting inside pillowcases to protect it, and with stain remover in it! Now I just need to do some minor repairs on the one she wore on Monday and I can get that washed today as well ;) Already agreed with her dad that it can be used as her prom dress in a couple of years :money::rotfl:

Off to get the sewing kit out now, and make a start on the pile of repairs I have to do. Since DD went to seniors I've spent more time repairing her uniform than I did in the whole of her time in primary

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • Just popping in to say that although I haven't posted for months, I still print the lists each day as Fly as much as possible. Thanks to everyone who contributes to the thread, it's making a real different to my house. :)

I have been into work. We are having anextension built and this holiday was the holiday schedule to run the pipework though my room into it.

I have now set everything to rights and WIPED DOWN the tables and chairs, the windowsill (if I ever found out who piled a random heap of junk and dirt behind the blind things will be said - firmly) and some shelves.

Could have done without it all tbh. Not happy.

Thankyou :) All fine here, DH has cheered up considerably, I think he is fretting about some health issues and he has a big birthday coming up this year which is playing on his mind. I don't think the number of "over 50s" ads which cropped up while we were watching Rumpole yesterday morning helped matters ;)
Sorry to read you are having computer problems, hope they're sorted out for you soon xx

I have been flapping a bit today. Ironing is all done and put away, everywhere had been vacuumed again and I've cleaned the kitchen whilst prepping our roast dinner. Bathroom is sparkling, at least until DD showers later. I have no idea how she manages to make so much blinkin' mess when she's supposed to be getting clean!

I've been frog chewing all day. Another hour should see the main part finished.

Just having a break now though to cook dinner.

Are the ads the 'bettersurf' ones or whatever they are called? You can remove them from your internet tools tab in your browser.. they are a huge problem picked up on this site and on facebook.. you need to uninstall the programme which piggy backs on links you have clicked

I messaged Bonnie the other day to see if she might have just been lurking. I haven't heard anything yet. She was so lovely when I was having a difficult time, I hope she is ok.

    Evening!

Sunday night hugs to all those *cough* unenthusiastic about Monday looming. And hugs to lurking and otherwise flyladies too.

I've pottered most of the day and played with the kids. We did a treasure hunt which was quite amusing.

Just watching a film now and having a warm drink. Going to think what groceries we need for this week...
