Morning everyone,
I'm in for my usual Saturday/ Sunday flutter. DD is due back from skiing today so mess is iminent
I'm going to try to do these remaining bits from the lists - anything not on has either been done or isn't even being attempted;)
Off to see how much I can get done in my first HHC of the day ...
Magnificent Monday ~ Master Bedroom & Landing
15 minutes...
Check fire alarms are working
Fling open that window and blow those cobwebs out!! Air the room!!! Nothing worse than a bedroom smelling of parps!
Remove and wash bed linen
30 minutes floor clearance.. that includes floordrobe and junk!
Twinkling Tuesday - Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
15 minutes...
Air the room.. fling open the windows and let in the springy air!! I don't care if it is 13' below!! lol
30 minutes to spare...
Clear any clutter from desk
Dust PC and desk and wipe off those cup rings!!
Wipe keyboard, house phone, sockets, switches and mouse etc
Collect any stray laundry from upstairs.
HHI... a bit more gone!
Whitening Wednesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
15 minutes...
Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
30 minutes to spare...
Sweep and mop floors
Sort & clean fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front, clean out any spills or grots in there! Is there anything that needs to be made into a yummy soup!!
Wipe dining table.. (clean table cloth if necessary)
Got an hour...
Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round
Thundering Thursday- Living Room, Hall and Stairs
Got an hour...
Tidy shoes, coats and bags .. Are there any that need rehoming?
Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.. the bottom 6 inches is just rubbish it has been there so long I'm surprised it isn't compost!!
HHI.. get that mountain gone!
Finally Friday- those frightening kids rooms and spare rooms
Half an hour in the garden clearing the mess and making it nice for spring to arrive.. the sooner your garden is nice the sooner it arrives! Honest!

I feel a bit like that and if I am not careful I could waste the whole day doing nothing of any purpose.
My list of possible tasks for today:
Give the downstairs loo and utility room a proper clean
Change our duvet cover - see what other washing is lurking around
Get OHs accounts up to date
Do some studying
Log in to 2nd job and see whats come in while I have been on holiday
Do some grocery shopping
Do some paperwork for my voluntary job.
Sigh, this is all too much for one day! I need to make a start. At least the sun is shining.
Oh and the garden. The garden is an absolute mess. I dont even know where to start!0 -

I'm going to do another 15 mins & then pop to town. I love it when the sun shines - I feel so much more motivated10lb to lose & keep off in 20204.5lb/10lb:rotfl:0 -
Clean washing on the line although it looks it could rain any time.
OH shifts have changed again so he now works 3 till 9 but eats tea at work and for some reason I just cant figure out tea time for me and the kids. They are picky eaters and I am thinking well what's the point in cooking. What I actually should be doing is using the slow cooker, the kids love stews and anything with mash. I have to admit we have had far too many rubbish meals this week I am going to grab my note pad and do some meal planning (with the kids help)
Then I need to clean the bathroom soon, we all need baths tonight as we are going for Sunday lunch at the inlaws tomorrow (fingers crossed no cat hair in my food I have a really bad gag reflex which is very rude of me)0 -
[QUOTE=I_feel_so_much_more_motivated_:)[/QUOTE]
Oh please send a bit my way. I just want to curl up and sleep. Didnt help that our phone started ringing at 2.30am this morning - real heart in the mouth moment. OH leapt out of bed but didnt get there in time and it was a withheld number. I was ages before I went back to sleep.
Soo, hubbys accounts are up to date.
I have logged on at work and there is nothing urgent. It can wait until Monday.
Now I need to shift myself. Going to put on some loud music on and sort the utility room, loo and office while everyone else is out. Lets see if I can get it done in an hour.
Lozzy, I used to be the same when hubby was out. Then I got into the habit of sitting down with the kids at 5pm every day and once we got into a routine it was fine. Now the kids are teenagers its all going pear shaped again!0 -
Well DD is back from her trip so my family is complete once more and the laundry basket is overflowing
I've pottered a bit this afternoon, but I've not got as much done as earlier.

Whitening Wednesday - Kitchen and Dining Room
[STRIKE]Dust any extra furniture in dining area, checking for cobwebs on way round[/STRIKE] I cleaned the DR light fitting - lots of sparkly crystal so took ages. I'm been meaning to do it for a while.
Finally Friday- those frightening kids rooms and spare rooms
[STRIKE]Half an hour in the garden clearing the mess and making it nice for spring to arrive.. the sooner your garden is nice the sooner it arrives! Honest![/STRIKE] Not really the garden, but I put all the composting & recycling out in the wheelie bins/compost heap and cleaned out the house bins. Another yukky job that I've been meaning to do for ages so I'm feeling quite pleased with myself. I've also been to the garden centre and bought some flowers for my tubs. I've not planted them yet though.

Dustykitten wrote: »Well finally started looking at my frog, I've got most of the stuff together now but it will take a fair bit of collating tomorrow. The fact that it is out though means that I am more likely to crack on with it. Trouble is I need help with excel and DS1 will be at work. DH will help but will be more infuriating during the process as he will keep telling me bits I don't want to knowIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

 Nice to have you back GI !
Lovely weather where we are
I have been flying today, though not intentionally. Visiting a beautiful Romanesque church with enormous #round# pillars, I tripped over one corner of the #square# base and did a fair impression of Gordon Banks (remember him?) in his heydayI wiped the floor thoroughly, and have managed to damage my right shoulder again  - not a happy bunny! Fortunately I had got parrots and ibuprofen in my bag, so am not suffering now that I'm dosed up.
Tomorrow will be an early start to satisfy DH's passion for steam trains. We also hope to find some real snow, and the weather forecast promises lots of sun
I saw a china frog on a lily pad in an antiques shop window and thought of you , LW, mending Mr LW's t-shirt - almost bought it to put on my desk to remind me to keep frogs under control, but then realised that I would have to dust it :rotfl:0
