received letter from Vodafone apologising for inconvenience and closing account. Another letter stating that balance outstanding and the usual threads of referral to credit reference agency.
Have updated Lee, who hopefully, will get this sorted.
Typical V/phone hopes are raised ... then dashed again0 -
Hi John,
I've received your last email and will get back to you as soon as I can.

Sorry didn't update thread sooner.
Lee rang and advised it was in relation to a dell netbook that I brought in 2009!
Anyway, he has now stated it will be sorted, so all ends well.
Thanks Lee for sorting, but Vodafone should not have put me in this situation in the first place! The person who says it cannot be done should not interrupt the person doing it.0 -
Hi John,
Thanks for updating the thread to confirm that this is resolved.
Kind regards,
Lee

I have just come off the phone for the fourth contact with Vodafone where they have each time recognized that they reactivated a closed account by mistake and started recharging me. Each contact they agree they have a mistake but still the default letters keep coming. Lets hope this time they get it right........0

Hi trethed,
I'm sorry to read about the difficulties you're currently experiencing with us.
If you'd like any help from me, could you email me with your details via the link in our profile here?
All you need to do is copy and paste the link into your web browser and it'll take you to the Contact us form on our website. To make sure it reaches me could you also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line?
Once sent you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. So I can make sure I've got it could you update the thread with this and I'll get back to you as soon as possible?
Kind regards,
Lee

Interesting.
I had, which seems to be, exactly the same problem, although it was a sim card that came free with a laptop.
Make sure you get Lee to search for any other accounts that may have been set up in your name.
It is a pain, and shouldn't happen, but my problems were all sorted by Lee in the end.
