Clio is a good little car. The 1.2 petrol engine is robust.
But at your price point buy on condition and insurance group
The older Corsa was a decent little car.0 -

I live in one of the lowest risk areas of the country yet my son paid in excess of £3000 for his first car, a Corsa. I find it hard to believe you can find a policy covering you for £1200. Is this fully comp?
Sorry. But full comp makes no financial sense on a £500 car.
Unless i is cheaper than 3rd party fire and theft, which i have noticed happens sometimes when i was looking for renewal premiums. Weird.0 -

In most cases, the full comp quotes were coming up cheaper than TP or TPFT.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

I am not saying "don't do it" but please make sure you know what you are letting yourself in for.

Yes, they penalise you for speeding, accelerating and breaking too hard plus driving after curfew (11pm on the one my son had which meant he often had to speed to get home from work before the curfew kicked in  ).
You are also limited on mileage too. Not always as cheap as they first appear to be. The one advantage is that I could track his every move via the online GPS checker :rotfl:“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
I think black box insurance is a dangerous game. A clever money spinner.0
