At Betfair it's tightened a shade, in from 1.33 for No to 1.3, or in other words from a 75% likelyhood of winning to 77%

hes the only pollster I listen to,he puts forward reasoning

Professor John Curtice from Strathclyde University said although the rise in the Yes vote was “modest” it was “still notable”.

he also stated woman are less risk adverse and 10pts less than men to vote for independence

    1) Nice stats. Are you insinuating that trade links would evaporate after independence? They won't. That would be in nobody's interests.[/COLOR]

agreed. that is why the UK (hopefully -Scotland) would (hopefully will) be just fine outside the EU.

this kind of post is a very strange role for an "official organisation representative". it's not giving assistance for how to deal with a public agency - unlike, for instance, some helpful posts i've seen from the land registry. it's just arguing the unionist case.

this happens to be a case i agree with (though it's not been very well argued here by the "official representative", IMHO), but why is an official representative arguing this case? it's a political debate.

and is the official representative a civil servant? if so, why are they advocating a controversial government policy?

this would not be the first time during this debate that civil servants' supposed neutrality has been overridden by the "no" campaign.

I too oppose independence, but I do find this a curious official.

I think MSE owes the forum an explanation for who this individual is.

Thanks for even more useless unionist sound bites and propaganda.

His status may be doubtful or unexplained but in what way is he wrong?

Not sure on this. The anti-English bile I get when I visit Glasgow does not exactly encourage me to buy Scottish products. After independence I might be more inclined to buy Irish or Japanese whisky.
