Thanks Post.
That's a bit of a shock. But it's good to know he is recovering.

There is a lot of AWFUL and INCORRECT advice been flippantly thrown around. No advice is better than wrong advice.
Please think before you post rubbish.
Thanks TJ and guys.

Mike,
I'm not disagreeing with you, but if you really believe that how about spending more time on here.
We've both benefitted from this site over the last year; if our advice and anecdotes are more helpful and accurate, then let's share them.

The advice which is given on this site regarding BR should only be used as guidance. Many of the posters on here have been through the process and out the other side and so have some first hand experience BUT you should remember that the info we all give is only our experience. For the hard and fast rules, you must contact the debt advice charities.
Over the past few weeks I`ve seen several responses to questions from those in desperate need given some quite frankly wrong info. Whatever advice you are given here, ensure you check it with the relevant people, be that the IS OR or one of the charities.
Good luck to those of you who go down this path. It worked for me.

Tight Jock,
An excellent thread, but then we wouldn't expect anything less from you.
I'm sure it hasn't escaped your notice that whenever one of the "longer serving" members responds to a first time thread (a newbie) then the Debt Charities details are invariably listed or referred to in the opening paragraph.
Having said that, I agree 100% with your sentiments; "take professional advice before posting here" should be the first thing you see when you enter this forum.
