Must be hell in return postage once you have to give the zoo back.

Haha indeed, the reptile/snake section must be the biggest area in the loan zoo!

Not really pal, I openly admitted to StepChange, on this forum, that I took out payday loads whilst on a DMP. The reasons for this they accepted and added these to my DMP, which was very understanding of them and I thanked them wholeheartedly.
    That makes no sense.

You are saying Stepchange were fully supportive of your decision to apply for a Payday loan, whilst on a DMP and they were simply going to insert the new Payday loan debt straight into your DMP?
You have even written Payday loans as a plural! How many were there?

One can only wonder why a Payday Loan was so essential in December.

It's not recommended to take out further credit whilst under a DMP - but there could be situations where further borrowing is absolutely unavoidable. I would imagine it wasn't a decision that was taken lightly. I'm not going to speculate as to why the payday loan was taken out but will say that the likes of Stepchange would generally allow someone to continue with their DMP if the reasons given have some degree of merit.

"One can only wonder" what kind of life you have sitting on here on a Saturday with the sole purpose of patronising people. Attempting to anyway

Thanks again David for explaining this to him/her, I have no intention of describing the crisis that I endured to this condescending individual though. :)

It's about a company that I've never heard of helping themselves to my bank account and then not refunding me after going through their process. Is that okay for you, like? As I said, that's nothing to do with you or anybody else apart on here wishing to pry. It's between me, StepChange and my creditors.

So, do people all agree that the FOS is the best way to proceed?

How many more times, the FOS is there for this reason hence its name. Yes take it to the FOS, the more people that do report companies like loanzoo could mean better for everyone.

That would make Stepchange almost criminal in it's intent.
I don't disagree further borrowing is unavoidable but it isn't the position of Stepchange/Payplan or anyone else to decide money should be gained by deceit.

I've not heard of Stepchange throwing out a DMP but Payplan certainly have if they discover further borrowing has taken place.

Crisis Loans, negotiations with utility companies et al should all come before borrowing with no intent to repay and in any case, should be viewed with contempt.
  • You should be viewed with contempt for derailing the thread topic. Go away.

Apples2 does have a point though, its silly to risk a DMP by trying to obtain more credit. Just because stepchange accepted it doesn't mean the underlying creditors would. All it takes is one creditor to decide you are not taking the DMP seriously and if they pull out then the DMP fails.
  • Apples2 pretentious preaching is to the converted though, and it's not Apples2's business and it's in a thread that is nothing to do with what Apples2 is talking about. Apples2 needs to get a life.
