Anyway, is this something that small claims courts would be able to process or will the FOS be able to resolve this?
Mmm let me think about that 1
Go to small claims court which costs £30
Fill forms in for FOS which is free
On that basis what do you think is the best option ?
I bet you will say option 2 and im not 1 for betting, as been mentioned go to FOS as it will cost loanzoo money.0 -

If successful in small claims court I could make them pay the costs as well as any losses that they have caused by not refunding me as per the T&Cs. also my basis for the court route stems from thinking a judge/court has greater authority than the FOS but maybe I'm wrong here?0 -
Plus I'm speculating but the FOS I get the impression don't move very quickly0

With regards to my DMP, that is between me, my creditors and StepChange. Seriously. What a sad life you lead coming into threads like this, on a Saturday, with absolutely no constructive contribution at all.
Do feel free to comment on the question that's being asked though, you pretentious individual, you
You are BUSTED matey!!0 -
Not really pal, I openly admitted to StepChange, on this forum, that I took out payday loads whilst on a DMP. The reasons for this they accepted and added these to my DMP, which was very understanding of them and I thanked them wholeheartedly. This thread isn't about a DMP. It's about a company that I've never heard of helping themselves to my bank account and then not refunding me after going through their process. Is that okay for you, like? As I said, that's nothing to do with you or anybody else apart on here wishing to pry. It's between me, StepChange and my creditors.
So, do people all agree that the FOS is the best way to proceed?0 -
Hello there,
The FOS should certainly be able to assist.

Thanks for your reply David, I'll go down this route then. I first contacted them about this company at the turn of the year so there's only a couple of weeks before the 8 weeks is up and I can submit my complaint about it. Hopefully something will be done about them, just googling 'loanzoo' brings up a host of other victims!0 -
Must be hell in return postage once you have to give the zoo back.0

You should also drop a line to the OFT - whilst they do not act upon individual complaints they generally keep information on file. Brokers have to adhere to a strict set of rules; if anyone is interested there is further info here: http://www.oft.gov.uk/OFTwork/credit/credit-brokers/#.Uv9g7EJ_tRc
Other companies acting in a similar way have been sanctioned in the past - I've not heard of this firm before - but a quick internet search does indeed bring up a number of complaints.
Hope it gets sorted, please keep us all informed.
