I look forward to trying Virgin Tivo next. I think Virgin realised it takes a lot to get it right, and was wise to buy in Tivo technology instead.

Have a look at the Virgin Media forums for users own opinions on that.

It's pretty good, from what I can see.

When I left Virgin Media last, the Tivo 1TB had just arrived.
Been waiting for a good promotion so I can try it.

Hi notusuallygrumpy. How much disk space do you have left?
Thanks for reply VisionMan. I am not very technical but presume the disc space is what is shown when you look at recorded items etc. If this is right then I have a bit more than 50% disc space free. I also decided to get an engineer out and was told there will be no charge for this in light of problems I have been having. The engineer is due on Wednesday morning so will see what he says.

What are the alternatives? BT Vision is sooooo bad, I really don't want to keep it. I'd rather not have to deal with BT anymore if possible.

The infinity broadband has been quite good. I occasionally get the Sky Sports to work through the Vision box. Otherwise I've pretended I don't have it and used the smart TV for everything.

Really can't believe in 2014 how bad this is. My previous Humax Freeview+ box was brilliant.

Can I get the service this was meant to be from someone else? Can I get equivalent of Infinity speed and the Sky Sports like I do through BT Vision.

Cable is not available and I'd prefer to not have a satellite. Feels a bit old school.

My BT vision box is really slow to respond. Changed batteries deleted all recording and switched off and on numerous times. Any ideas to get it working?

I see that Sky have been forced to let BT show Sky Sports on YouView. Any idea when this will be made available.

Does anyone have the BT YouView box? Is it a lot better than the awful BT Vision box?
