    To Snaggles,

Do you, by any chance, have the capability to record your track as a midi file, rather than an mp3? If so this would be a better format for me to receive your part, as I can convert this into a very nice sounding grand piano, and make it much easier for me to tidy up any timing inconstancies..

I'm not sure Rob, I've never done anything like this before. I'm a self taught amateur with a keyboard that came from Argos lol. How would I do that?

If it's an electronic keyboard, then it will probably have a MIDI output, possibly a USB output.. do you know the make and model?

If you are able to do it, there is some free software out there that will let you plug the keyboard in via the USB, and instead of recording the sound of the keyboard, it will record your button presses on a timeline- a bit like how a wind up music box works. You can then save this as a .mid file (rather than .mp3) and I can take your performance and use it to trigger the notes on a realistic sounding grand piano which is loaded on my computer.

Sorry if this is all too technical.. let me know the make and model, and I'll have a go at explaining how to set it up, if indeed it is possible for you to do so :)

I'm fairly sure it has a midi output but i presume I'd need some sort of special lead for that which I don't think I've got. It definitely doesn't have a usb output. My Dad works for a talking newspaper though and they have all sorts of recording equipment, so I'll ask him. Thanks for the explanation, sorry I'm a bit thick with this kind of stuff! :o

Hello all, I think I might have the drum part for this recorded somewhere, if not I'll need to transcribe it and get it tracked. Don't suppose anyone has a drum chart anywhere do they? Not that I'm lazy I'm just utilizing other's resources:rotfl:

Am I on fee or royalties?:D

Oh and IA, you can't call the band fabba, that's taken by an abba tribute band funilly enough. I actually loathe abba but I'll do it for you lot, I draw the line at cliff richard though.

As for a name... well, as Abba was from their initials, we could always try something from our usernames... might be a bit complicated though & not sure we've got enough vowels!
