    Hiya,

I don't post here very often, but I saw this thread and thought I'd offer my assistance!

I work for Yamaha, so I have free access to steinberg software- virtual instruments, Cubase etc and I have a home studio setup in my spare room.. I can do pitch correction on the vocals, and I can also do the drums using samples- it will sound like real drums.

Mixing it in Cubase will be much easier than trying to overlay it all in Audacity so if you want me to do that, I'm happy to do so.

Pretty much anything you need me to do just ask, though it's obviously a collaborative thing so I don't want to take over :)

Without wanting to get too techie (as I'm only just starting out recording on the PC so don't know too much just a few bits!!!) is it possible to make different recordings stretch/shrink to fit your time scale??? I like the idea of key correction on the vocals! I'll have to look that up!

Brill Rob - will definitely take you up on that (was going to try the overlaying in Acid as that's what I'm used to but Cubase will be much better!)

Also, as no-one's come forward as a drummer yet then I think the samples idea might be a go-er too.

My plan was to get the drumming first, then probably keyboards which I would send to everyone to play along too (on headphones of course!) so that we'd all end up in tune & in time, but there's bound to be some kind of pitch correction required at some point or another!

Very jealous BTW of both your home studio & working for yamaha - I've been trying to get a job that uses my music for years & still not very close (bar a bit of teaching on the side!)

It is possible to do this, although it shouldn't really be necessary- If we recorded a backing track and then everyone played/sang along with it while listening to the backing through headphones, then everyone should theoretically be in time. However if people make mistakes I would be able to correct them. Mainly by using this program which I have..
