    Hi Snaggles,

E7#5 is an E7 chord where the 5th has been sharpened so it would be E G# B#(C) D. However, the full chord doesn't appear to be written out in this version - the first line the 7th isn't there at all, and later on the E is missing (though presumably in the bass line!)

I've just had to delete a whole load of waffle about dominant 7ths, perfect cadences etc - this is what I get for being an ex-music student, I start analysing music far too much!

For me, it went vertically and passed nowhere near my head...

Well, a cadence is literally the final 2 chords that finish a phrase of music, the most common one being the perfect cadence (hence it's name)

To avoid confusion of needing to know the key the music is in (esp useful when just listening!) each note of the key also has a name:

Tonic, Supertonic, Mediant, Sub-dominant, Dominant, Sub-mediant, Leading Note, Tonic...

Hence a perfect cadence you go from the Dominant to the Tonic to finish off a phrase - IA will probably notice that in bass lines a lot (i.e. in C Major it will be G-C, in G Major D-G etc)

It feels strangely good to start talking about this sort of stuff again (I think I worry it will fly out of my brain forever!) :o

Storm, I think maybe you should do the keyboards - I suspect you may be rather better at it than me! :D
