I know there's a lot of commercialisation but you don't have to conform.
Enjoy your day with your loved one(s).
I've taken my first day of annual leave ever!
Right, must dash, croissants are in the oven!

Me and OH were meant to be going out for the day but the job he is working on has overrun so he can't take the day off. We will go out tomorrow though.
He bought me a card and a lovely cookery book and we will be having a nice meal at home tonight and eating out tomorrowThe world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -
Have a lovely day everyone
OH and I don't bother with anything (we could not be less romantic lol) but I hope that for all of you who do make an effort you enjoy yourselves x. 0 -

Errr Happy Valentines Day I guess! :rotfl: I don't really believe in it and think it's an over commercialised, waste of money etc etc, and I tell my husband this every year....but this year he didn't listen and got me the most lovely bunch of flowers, a balloon and chocolates (although he admitted the chocolates were more for him!)
They are a gorgeous bunch of flowers and I am pleased to get them (maybe this ice maiden is melting a teeny bit?!), but I can't get over the price they slap on them! I know the price because he forwarded me the email because they haven't sent exactly what was on the website, and he's peeved that they haven't sent exactly what he ordered. He'll complain to me, but doesn't like confrontation with other people, and said to me "you don't mind phoning up and complaining, can you do it?!
"
Damn right I will, I want my red vase, red sissel and diamant! heart god damn it! :rotfl:
We didn't do cards though, even though I was tempted to get him one of those Tesco Value cards as a laugh! But to be fair, he doesn't really 'do' cards on any occasion.0 -

We had to do this last year - completely different to what was ordered. Waitrose refunded half the price luckily. I told him not to order flowers this year as they're so extortionate but we are currently waiting for a delivery and I'm secretly chuffed :j0 -

Happy V Day!!
I do find it funny how we all don't want to celebrate, yet I also am a little disappointed with the lack of flowers :-(
I really shouldn't complain as my lovely OH whom I've only been with for a few months, took me to The Ritz on Wednesday and it was fantastic.
I've bought the M&S dine in meal for this evening and a nice romantic film.
I did get the sweetiest card ever!0 -

I'm currently trying to get through to Interflora, but they keep on cutting me off
I love flowers, but they can be bought anytime of the year, and like I said I think the price tag they put on them is outrageous! But I guess it all comes down to supply and demand.
Well done on getting a refund.
