I made Chinese style crispy seaweed today, using kale, fry light, chilli and salt. Served it with steak and a stir fried veggies. The verdict was: potential but a tad burnt yu have to watch the oven like a hawk as it goes from crispy to cremated! Definitely something I would make again, almost crisp like as salty and crunchy. And super free too :-)

Hi everyone - I'm hoping no-one minds me joining either? Though I won't be going to classes, I'll be using the books I had before (recent, they have the EE etc in them) and weighing myself at home. Can I still join in if I'm not officially going to slimming world?

Also, if I can join in here, do I need to post up my start weight or can I just post in my losses / gains each week and add generally contribute to the thread?

Hey shortie, Post as much info as you feel comfortable posting, we're quite nosey so the more the better :rotfl:

Hi as well to MrsBillious... Great loss so far..

Our consultant always suggested going backs to basics and reading our books again. I found the information I posted on the front page quite motivational too (that's why I copied it from the old thread) so have a read of that too..

Tracey - good loss lady :T

Glad this post flashed up. I've been doing SW since Aug 2012. Lost over 4 stone in that time. Today has been a green day.
    B: Spinach and Mushroom Omelette
L:Cheese Toastie using 1st HEA and 1st HEB
D: Tofu stir fry with veggies and more cheese 2nd HEA
Snacks in day- banana and pear
Snacks in eve: fruit ryvita 2nd HEB topped with quark (mixed with sweetener and vanilla) and raspberries.
Syns: 3 for space raiders 5 for 5 cheese crackers (20cals each).

Absolutely love SW. Never eaten so well in my entire life.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.

    Happy Valentines day all!

I've just spent forEVER catching up with all the old posts and updating the chart, because my DW was away Monday to today, so I've been single parenting the 6 year old and 11 month old. I couldn't string a sentence together by the end of the night, so have been awol, sorry!

I also had a totally rubbish week with her being away, not cooking for myself (only the kids) and grazing on crap. I also discovered an unopened tin of Foxs Christmas biscuits, which are now nearly ALL gone. :o

I have NO idea how but the scales showed a loss of 2.25lbs on WI day, the next day a gain! Im taking the WI figure for now though and I fully expect to see a HUGE gain next week. Arghhh - I need someone to kick me back to track, I don't know why I keep falling off :(

MIL turns up tomorrow from the US to stay with us for 10 days. I really really really want to try and stay on track and lose some more weight before DD's first birthday which is 3 weeks away. Gosh, can't believe I have a nearly 1 year old!

WILL POST CHART BELOW - AND LET ME KNOW WHAT NEXT CHALLENGE IS - HAPPY TO CONTINUE TO DO CHART? XX

Oooh, new shiny thread! Hello gang!

Welcome newbies, you're in good company here, with lots of support, great advice, plenty of smiles and lovely contributors.

Great losses from Becks, Beanie, tracey and more! Brilliant stuff.

Lantanna - go for it with the online dating. I 'dabbled' a bit before I met my OH, and met some really nice people. I happened to meet OH via our sons who were friends in the end. I found it really boosted my confidence dating, and probably wouldn't have been in the right frame of mind to date my OH in the first place without it. Let us know how you get on, as I've got a very good friend who I'm trying to convince to do the same, but she's a bit hesitant, despite wanting to meet someone.

Consultant - I hope you feel better soon, and speedy recovery.

Well, 1 sleeps down of OH being away, and only 6 more to go :T I've no idea how much it's going to end up costing me, but I just needed to speak to him today, after he'd texted me several times, so I rang him. Anyone got an idea how much it costs to ring a mobile (from a mobile) in Europe?

I had to work today, so that helped to keep my mind off things, and keep me out of trouble. Last day of term for the boys, so a week ahead of lie-in's :T:j

    Today's Plan : EE

    B - Danio yogurt (1), apple
    snack - satsuma
L - Fat Free chilli chicken Super Noodles, leeks, mushrooms & Philadelphia light (HeA). Activia Yogurt (2.5)
D - A gorgeous pasta dish made from: bacon, chicken, leeks, mushrooms, light Philadelphia w/chives (2), quark & seasoning. NAS cordial.

I've not had my Heb, but I did have one of the cakes I made today :/ Not sure of the syns, so will say 9 to be safe.

Have a good weekend everyone, and hope those celebrating Valentines have a lovely evening.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home
