consultant - i've never heard of a 4 in 1 cooker so i can't help sorry. Sounds interesting though, i might have to do a bit of research on those.:D More gadgets i can buy for the kitchen :j

I'm known in my family as the gadget queen, so enough said :rotfl:

The 4 in 1 does (did, it's now discontinued) slow cooking, rice cooking, steaming and......I have no idea what the other option is to be honest. I only ever used is as a slow cooker but it was a good one. It had a timer and only one heat setting, whereas the new, larger, oval one I bought to replace it, has no timer and 3 heat settings and is obviously too sophisticated for the likes of me (sigh!) Tefal now do an 8 in 1
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Why not have water with ice and a slice of lemon or lime, or even buy some of that Jif lemon juice to squirt in. It is called Jif isn't it, or is that something you clean the sink with - gosh, don't want to recommend something that will poison you :o

That's a really good idea, thank you! I'm pretty sure jif is the lemon juice and the cleaners are now cif, but I don't think I would have got too confused about which to drink ;)

Shows how you get stuck in your ways with some things and can't think of an obvious solution, but SW is making me! I do drink pretty weak squash anyhow so measured it up today and 3.5 syns buys me two glasses of vimto :)

Made a casserole today - tons of fresh veg, lots of lentils and a bit of quorn mince. Will feed me and hubby and possibly the toddler for about 3 meals. I'm a big lover of my slow cooker. The house smells lovely now and it tastes pretty good too! I could have kept it free but used an HEA to grate a bit of cheese over my portion.

Interesting how we are all different.
I love vimto NAS & drink a very large bottle in about a fortnight .
I cant taste the dreaded a word in it but can in a lot of the flavoured waters so don't think them.

SW aims to get your body healthy, the emotional aspect is for someone else to deal with.

I think that SW could make more of an effort to address emotional issues. Lets face it eating and dieting are both emotional issues. I wonder if staying to group will get a bit repetitive after a while and can't help thinking that SW could go a bit deeper in the body magic bit.

My tip for the day, boil two boiled eggs before you go out drinking so you have a free snack to come home to!

Sorry I disagree that slimming world should be addressing emotional issues, I agree with Consultant SW is about health and losing weight and what they do they do well. The consultants
are well trained and can give very good advice and support on the plan.

Emotional issues are so diverse and complicated as we are all so different and I for one who not be happy discussing my emotional issues at group for many reasons and also there is very limited time my Consultant has about 1 hour to talk to a group of 30 members so I think anyone wanting support for emotional issues could well be disappointed and left feeling much worse with just a couple of minites chat.
