No, it's not a solicitor. AFAIK, it is the company's ebay account; although of course there is no way to verify that.

Yes, it does look like the ID belongs to the company. However, until a proper firm of solicitors contact you, just ignore them. That adhesive is widely available and this type of thing is like Heinz trying to tell a small corner shop to stop selling its beans.
Honestly, don't worry.0 -
Is that because you think there might be some validity in their claims???
I have no idea, that's why I think you should get advice from one source, rather than several snippets of opinion from a random bunch of forum users.
(Not saying that the advice here is wrong, the forum users here are very helpful, but sometimes it's hard to know which posts are the best answers).0 -

Really? He is selling items he legally owns, using a picture he has taken. You don't need to waste money on legal advice, to tell you there is nothing unlawful about that.0 -

That's why I suggested going to someone like CAB.0 -
I agree that this case seems as though the OP is doing nothing wrong, but some companies can and do stop you selling their products. It's not illegal as such but a big company could make life difficult. That's what VERO is all about.ashleypride wrote: »Really? He is selling items he legally owns, using a picture he has taken. If I was sole manufacturer/supplier of a product in the UK and found someone else wholesaling it at a price below my supply price I'd be asking questions too..0 -

Add that IDto your blocked bidder list and they shouldn't be able to contact you again from that account.
If they then message you from a different account, report them to eBay for using multiple IDs to get around blocks and they'll get banned!0 -
Blocking them as a bidder is a good idea, although blocked bidders can still send you messages.verybigchris wrote: »Add that IDto your blocked bidder list and they shouldn't be able to contact you again from that account.

They can still contact you if they have already done so before you add their id to the blocked bidders list AND select the option to block messages from blocked bidders.
OP should call Ebay and ask them to intervene in asking the sender to stop sending messages to him/her.0 -
Thanks for all the helpful advice.
I must admit that there is a devil on my shoulder goading me to write a message back to them along the lines of some of the responses I have had here (including my admin charge!). But my angel is telling me that the tooth will never heal unless I stop prodding it.....0
