Whatever you do, Do not report it to the rspca as they will kill them..Well only 50% of all animals they get..

and that's a load of nonsense. Just like EVERY SINGLE OTHER UK ANIMAL CHARITY, the RSPCA only euthanases animals on the advice of vets. Animals that will never be rehomed due to either health or behavioural issues.

I know this, as I've worked for 4 animal charities now, one of which was the RSPCA. The latter is no worse than any of the others.

I do wish people would stop peddling this nonsense, it does the animals that charities are trying to help such a disservice.

RSPCA puts down 53,000 animals in just one year..
nearly half the total it took in.

It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

Report the advert to your local authority or Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06
“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”

The ad says its a dog rehoming centre, nothing about it being a charity.
I agree, talk to Trading Standards as it is operating as a business. There may be some false advertising going on and it is a misleading advertisement.
Perhaps report the advert to the ASA as they cover those?

Please please don’t believe everything you read and instead do your own research.

That story very loosely relates to the RSPCA’s 2011 figures. Their 2011 annual report is available online for everyone to see and decide for themselves. Just google “rspca annual report 2011” - it’s the 2nd one down. Pages 6 & 12 explain that in 2011 the RSPCA rehomed 12, 711 dogs (& had to PTS 625 rehomeable dogs) and rehomed 30,798 cats (& had to PTS 667 rehomeable cats). As you will also see on page 6 they have pledged to end the euthanasia of any rehomeable animal. The 53,183 animals PTS were mostly wild animals too sick, injured or young to be rehabilitated.

Newspapers sell stories but as you can see the truth isn’t shocking or a headline grabber so they’ve simply misreported it to make it interesting.

Maybe you should direct your anger to the people who abandon and dump their pets, or let them breed with no regard to the welfare of the pups. If all dog owners took their responsibilities seriously than the RSPCA would not be in the unfortunate position of having to destroy dogs because there is nobody to care for them.

My anger is directed at a charity that cons people into thinking it is all aout the animals....it is far from it now-days..

I think you're confusing the main RSPCA headquarters which are completely removed and a separate entity to the regional shelters and clinics.

Its already been pointed out to you that the figures you quoted were wrong .

Personally I think its far better to put an animal sleep if a home cannot be found for it , cant be much of a life in a shelter for a long period

How many animals have you rehomed btw?
