To be honest, these funeral plans won't pay out for 2 years, and no insurance company would touch her with a barge pole.
The one my parents had from AgeUK didn't work like that.
They were covered from the time of the first payment (to the extent of what they had paid in) and were completely covered as soon as the last monthly payment was made.
If they had paid a one-off lump sum, they would have been covered straight away.0
