I claim DLA and the disabled element of Working Tax Credit. My membership of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) has expired and is due for renewal.
I am a bit worried that renewing it might look a bit odd and am concerned the DWP might stop my benefits if they find out I am a member of the RSPB.
Do you think my benefits would be compromised if the DWP found out?

Why would being a member of RSPB be of any interest to DWP you are allowed hobbies. Renew and enjoy. Why pay full price when you may get it YS0

Unless you are working for the RSPB, either paid or unpaid. The DWP would have no interest whatsoever in any charitable funding or membership you get involved in.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

No, but according to Tinkledom, if you intend to fly alongside any birds covered by the RSPB, waving your passport around, you should phone the JCP and bore them with it.......:T:rotfl:
(Apologies if this post was serious)
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -

I'm sorry but I find your attempt at humour slightly third rate. You know the answer already so why ask the question?
Failing to notify the DWP when holidaying abroad for any length of time whilst claiming ESA, which as you know is a requirement, does not mean that you have to also notify them when you go twitching in the back of beyond in the UK!0 -

If it ever involved a day trip to France, don't forget to phone the Job Centre.......;)
They are watching, you know.......
Forget the Border Agency being about illegals and drugs - it's now about people in wheelchairs or limping along.....
This government are tough on holidays, and the causes of holidays, especially if you are disabled.....

It does ask about hobbies on the DLA form. It's not as if you've claimed you can't walk and are planning on doing a marathon.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

It does indeed, but I think the OP was being ironic.
Hobbies are fine, unless you are into extreme sports or something!

It depends on the hobbies and the claims where you have difficulties.
You can't very well claim that you have no concentration powers but add that you read books daily.0
