And also.... when you owe someone £20, that's your problem; when you owe someone £20m, that's their problem.
If you owe the bank £10k the bank owns you.
If you owe the bank £10m you own the bank!0 -
If you can't afford £15 this week, then how are you going to afford to pay back £15 next week, plus the considerable interest that will also be dueI can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

I have looked in my local charity shops, but nothing that fits. They are either too small or too big. They dont have much to chose from.
You need to stop being so choosy, and just buy a coat in a size bigger than you'd normally like.0 -

...No you haven't. And that stupid line proves it. If you're down to "brass farthings" then you don't have a car to put "£10 less" in and you don't have the £10 to begin with.

And you have no idea what you are talking about. When I said brass farthings, I meant it. I meant that I had been in a situation where I had sold everything of value, I had eaten everything in the house, I had borrowed every penny everywhere and I hadnt eaten in a week and a half. I understand very well the type of situation the OP *could* be in and borrowing yet more money isnt the answer, and especially not £15.
Dont jump on people with silly preconceived notions until you know what you are talking about and have been there.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it

Have you had a look at any other stores to see if they'll do credit or a store card?
Or failing that just get something waterproof and wear a few layers under it as has been suggested above somewhere. You should be able to do that for under £15.0 -
I call bs about charity shops, there will always be something that will fit, if you are really that desperate that you cant afford 15 quid you will wear whatever they have regardless of what it looks like or how well it fits. Also if you have lost alot of weight then sell the old biggers clothes either on ebay, gumtree or via a buy by weight firm then use that money to buy more clothes that fit youI don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Assuming this is not a wind-up, it is a sobering thought that someone is so poor that they are looking for a loan of £15.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

I'd tend to agree. The idea that there was literally nothing available in a charity shop (i.e. that everything was five sizes two big or two sizes too small) sounds unlikely to be true.
I know that we are here to be helpful to people, but sometimes the "none of the proposed solutions work, because here's a list of increasingly bizarre and unbelievable special circumstances" responses strain credulity.0
