We are going to have a big hole to plaster where the ancient boiler was, they stopped making it 1986 was G rated I think, well whatever the lowest rating is at the moment. So l do have lower gas bills to look forward to I hope. :money:

It's the first step forward on a long journey of building works we will be having done when mum's bungalow completes sell, luckily this one is mostly being paid for by a grant as ours is a harder to treat property with failed cavity wall insulation too. We were only looking for information on the best way to do our home improvements and were shocked we were actually entitled to a grant. :)

Lower gas bills and a grant to help pay for it :j
Our older boiler was condemned when it developed a CO leak. I was glad to see the back of it :rotfl:
Unfortunately I still haven't filled, skimmed and painted the part of my kitchen where it went missing from :o

you sound so much like me....I'm dreading the work starting on our conservatory in a few weeks time...the rest of the family are dreading me being around too...so much to the point that my DH is considering buying me a stack of paperback books and booking mr into a travelodge down the road so I dont have to witness the work going on....or indeed the workmen bringing all the bits and bobs though the house as we have no usable back access....
I think im one of those people who need to be out of the way when work is going on...then come back when its finished....even though ive been told they will minimise mess and dust and use sheeting etc...I still dont want them walking on my carpets!!!!!

    OCD at its best!

Well I am impressed they have put down this green plastic on the kitchen floor and work tops to mimimise dust and they took their shoes off to walk on the carpets and look at where they needed to put radiator valves. :)

But one thing has made me squirm they have moved my piles in the airing cupboard, my pile of bathroom mats and old towels has been manhandled by one of them. I did say to let me know if they needed anything moved in there. Someone without OCD will think what's the problem but for me my piles are very precise. :o

Sounds a good plan for you to stay away if you can but I would feel so out of control, think a short trip to Ts today might relax me a bit today. :rotfl:

I am going to go and do a John Frieda shop would someone be kind enough to post the barcodes for me please.

Also the H&S trigger barcode as I've been into my local this morning and the one I picked up wasn't in the 3 for 10 offer.

    Many thanks. X

Half the shelves of items aren't marked correctly in my store. If not marked with offer, then before doing rest of your shopping take the 3 to the self checkout, smile nicely and ask the SA if they can check if the items are 3 for £10 (or whatever), I say i've seen offer on line and wanted to double check. If the shelves are marked, you shouldn't need to worry. In this case if it doesn't go through, then take to helpdesk, get refunded the overcharge and get a £2 giftcard, then you can still put the receipt in APG anyway.
