Bumping SFSBs summary. No test shop results back yet. You could be the first :beer:Shortfatscotsbloke wrote: »Morning all.
Just re-read all the posts about Sensations from last night and it looks like the key is definitely the Monterrey Chilli flavour which seems to be a "comparing trigger".
So, if it works today the best options would be to buy either any even number of Sensations Smoked Monterrey Chilli with Goats Cheese flavour, or an odd number plus one of any other flavour.
If there are any Jocks out there with 24 hour Sadas nearby, you may wish to rush out now and have an early dabble..:D
Go on, you know you want to, this is FREE CRISPS after all! They might not be as yummy as deep fried Mars bars, but definitely much healthier..:rotfl:
Me, I'm still a fat Scotsman on a diet so I won't be partaking of this one.:whistle::whistle:Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -

It is actually a rotten strainer post and I believe the bits that go towards the outside are the inner workings of the outside branches.
Can you guess how these were created?
CD, fairy liquid, water, torch.
CD, torch
This was many years ago when I was getting to grips with the camera.

Hi, afternoon folks:). Busy day again:(:(, but just to mention my shopping in M yesterday (which I should have posted earlier but didn't get round to:(). Bear with me as the best deal probably follows right at the end!;)
I bought a couple of Gala Apples packs and a Conference Pears pack - they are on 3 for £2, which makes about 67p each:money:. I have had them cheaper before, when they were short-date, but aside from that point, I've probably gone back to being fairly savvy. These offers though are counterproductive sometimes. I used to think £1 (or 99p) for 750g/800g standard apples was good and it was my price guide. Now, if I see anything more than 67p for a pack, I shan't be buying them as it's a rip-off:rotfl:. Conf. Pears packs have been 50p each before though (sometimes 50p straight, sometimes on £1 bogo'f').
I weighed the apples in before I bought them - and they came in at around 750g. Wouldn't have got them if they were trying to fleece me by reducing their weight, but they weren't! The Gala Apples packs don't compare on APG - they've not compared previously as they are fixed weight in A but variable weight in M but they also don't compare on APG now as they are outside the weight limit. Currently there are 600g:(:( of Gala Apples at £1.50_pale_ in A. Oh well, at least A shoppers' comparable shopping might be 10% cheaper.:rotfl:
The Conference pears packs used to compare when A and M were both around 800g (I think this may have been after an Advertising Standards complaint by a competitor, during which it was discovered that they (and some Lamb product?) weren't compared. I don't think the complaint was upheld as the general claims were found acceptable but the ASA 'expressed concern'? Going from vague memory - could be totally wrong.).
Anyroad, after distracting myself off a tangent again:rotfl:, the Conference pears packs are described as M Conference Pears (5) on msm, although in fact the packs instore (my store at least) are more than that and weigh in accordingly. They seem to be comparable on msm, although that is inconclusive. However, as I was only buying (only needed) one pack, and was 'taking advantage' (hardly:() of a mbuy in M that involved non-comp. products on the APG, I bought them in M. There have been weight reductions in the pears packs in M, which possibly made them go non-comp, but the weight is back up again so maybe that variance will return an N/A.
There is A Conference Pears packs (600g) on msm at £1:eek: (and price for that weight:eek:) but showing as N/A for Morries. On the Morries side of msm, the ones for A are showing as £2.00 and any 2 for £3.00? Wondering which therefore and if trigger? Or maybe it's a case of buy two £1 packs and cross your fingers. I think not - I think it's an N/A?
Whilst in M, I did take a quick look around - probably because I just prefer doing it the way I've done it before - and to get me back in tune with what's available instore (I think price comps. are still being done with instore pricing?). I didn't find much I didn't already know (from msm online) but I now know about the odd few items.
I found some Academic Dairies (2013-14), which run out in June, are at 8p in M. Not really a 'find' as the SEL itself said 8p. I've been struggling, without being able to diarise things properly (I should use an electronic version of course, but not organised enough to check that every day) as the 2014 diaries have still been at £1.50:eek: (meanies) despite having several weeks now in the past. Given that I got my 2013 diary at £1, I'm certainly not paying £1.50 now. So I got the academic diary as a stop-gap, plan is that, hopefully, by June, the calendar year ones will be much lower priced, so that 8p plus that will be cheaper than shelling out £1.50 now:money:. I'm sure someone else on the thread will have already found calendar year diaries elsewhere cheaper which I am not aware of, but anyway I was struggling (not just finding a diary but struggling without one). Watch the 2014 diaries immediately go down in price now I've spent the 8p.:rotfl::(
Finally, in M, I found the usual Bakery doughnuts are on 2 for £1 (they don't appear to be on msm but probably still compare on APG as using instore details). The loose broccoli has now changed in weight - to 335g - instore:T, and is now comparing as we saw earlier.
And, Zippy - I found this: Brain's 6 pack Pork Faggots are 87p again in (or possibly 'for') M. (So no need to rush as much earlier.) Although - this is 87p on Friday, wonder if they were that on Wednesday:think:.
Ok - I'm sorting a few things out on msm and in RL over the next few hours, so may be lurking then back again.:):)0 -
Hello all!
I had a top trip out couponing at tesco yesterday! Used them 60p off coupon for velvet 4pk and got 8 rolls for £1.80!
Does anyone know if you can use the free hot drink offer as part of £5 spend in waitrose to get the free paper? Ha. Just thought to ask!0 -
Afternoon all....
Hugs to you Snap, and your Dear friend and the family hoping for good news.
Was thinking of doing a bit of gardening this afternoon as forcast said a reasonable temperature, but the wind is sure taking the edge off that and the sun doesn't look like coming out even though I thought it might..... I may go out for a few mins to pot up some more rhubarb plants that I need to do soon, but I don't think i'll last long.
Did a C&C test shop this morning and collected at 10.30 but no sign of results as yet. Also picked up a couple of wombles dated yesterday, one had a 20p return that i'm not gonna bother with, but I went through everything for all stores and picked out the only useful stuff I could find......

1 x Walkers Monster Munch Variety (14x25g) £1.50 N/A

AvT

AvM

I have 1 more womble from this morning, and my own first JF instore shop, :j as well as the c&c, so i'm still living in hope for something. :rotfl::rotfl:
Off to put some shopping away, will let you know unknown results ASAP.
Thanks:T:T Walkers may be useful if struggling to find good offers for W or S - but Sensations vs T?
Fresh single cream 300ml (I see, for my purposes, no difference:() has been vs 69p before, so 85p is keeping the other cream away from my shopping lists.:)0 -

Oh yea I knew the cost of ttthe paper counts. Just thought the cost of hot drink may count too as they put that through the till too.
In mine they put the drink through at the cafe and not the main till
It would only work if they cafe let you pay for your shopping and paper tooApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0
