  • Morning all, off to a few food markets today in Haringey and Ally Pally. It's one of those things where I keep meaning to go and never get round to it. Sod it, might throw Camden in there too :D

Hope you have lovely days :)

From Drink Aware......definition of Binge Drinking which could easily apply to me and most of my friends.

Who drinks 2 large glasses of wine on a Friday night ladies:o

"The government advises that people should not regularly drink more than the lower risk guidelines of 3-4 units of alcohol for men (equivalent to a pint and a half of 4% beer) and 2-3 units of alcohol for women (equivalent to a 175 ml glass of wine). ‘Regularly’ means drinking every day or most days of the week.

Binge drinking for men, therefore, is drinking more than 8 units of alcohol – or about three pints of strong beer. For women, it’s drinking more than 6 units of alcohol, equivalent to two large glasses of wine."

Hi TM how many drinkers do you know who drink within these limits? A night out in Glasgow would be at least a dozen pints for me anyway but that is with the lads if am out with the oh it would be 3 or 4.

Well, I'm considering another four BNI curries, but its a 15 mile round trip so not really viable on petrol and too far to walk.
  • I do think you need to really analysis why you justified your previous drinking to the level you could justify returning to drinking in just a few weeks.

Many people who have a problem with alcohol are not alcoholics.. consider that you have to loose and the cost implications if you carry on drinking....... your health.

Your children will see you and normalise this behaviour and lets face it no one can justify 60 bottles of wine in 2 weeks!

    Lecture over (sorry)

I agree far 2 much in 2 weeks but as i said before am still waiting for a scan as they found another shadow in my lung and i'm now thinking positive but at the time i was really worried and just got drunk every day.
I got up this morning after dring a few cans last night and am now making lunch and will not be drinking tonight or in the next couple of weeks when i have a party to go to.

Plus don't forget about the 10% extra back.

Can we learn anything by comparing this list with the failed one earlier?

Just catching up so not sure if someone has already managed that

I did my shop in Ts hun, not As.
I thought I'd post my comparisons incase anyone else was using mullers as fillers on a burger shop in Ts.
I'm more of an A apg shopper than a T pp shopper and there is probably a really simple answer to this, but, can anyone tell me why it appears that this pp hasn't picked up the 5 for £3 or 8 for £4 in A?

Is it that it has been missed or does it actually show at the end total of the pp?

    Thanks.

It doesn't show on the PP.
I would assume a PP doesn't pick up on a mixed multibuy (5 for £3, 8 for £4) in the same way it doesn't pick up on it's own 2 for £7, 3 for £10.
I think it's probably too complicated for the PP system to handle.

I know what you are saying cookie. These are the government guidelines. However I will say that although I love having a couple of glasses of white, I can feel quite ropey the following day....and this has worsened as I have grown older. Think it's good to give your liver a rest and allow it to repair itself.
