Sorry not posted for a while, been a bit crazy and my car has cost me a fortune this month, so have just briefly been lurking as I can't even afford to get any of the glitches on the go until my next payday.
Just wanted to sympathise with NannyLala and her cramp. For a good couple of years I was getting cramp several times of the day / night and was having terrible trouble sleeping as it would wake me up a few times in the night. Doctor wouldn't do anything about it, just told me to put more salt in my diet (how much more salt can one body take without giving me further health problems), and to drink more water (I drink tons anyway). Or the other option they suggested was a small glass of tonic water at night (no Gin though) )
I've been seeing an alternative therapist and she recommended Magnesium supplements. She suggested I took one in the morning and one in the evening, and I've been doing that for about 6 months now and can probably count the amount of times I've had cramp on 2 hands.
I know Magnesium is present in a lot of food types, but this has helped me so much and I'm sleeping right through the night now.
So, juust wanted to come out of the lurkdom to hopefully give a little bit of help.Sealed Pot Challenge No 3060 -
No cramps at the moment wacky as I get bouts of them that seem to occur a few nights and then none for weeks running, really no rhyme or reason I can see for this:(
I also have alway drunk several glasses of water a day so this is obviously not helping with my night cramps.
Maybe is the several bottles of wine you drink each night :beer::beer:0 -
