I saw my consultant at 24 weeks and she then decided I need to have extra scans because baby 1 was 5lb 12lb. Not bothering me but a pain to have to keep going up there.

Hi all,
Claire, just to let you know my midwife didnt even measure me at 25 weeks, said they don't do it in this trust as it can be so inaccurate at that stage and then only start measuring from 28 wks. So try not to worry too much over the weekend and at least with the growth scan you can get a proper measurement.
Hopefully going to enjoy the sunshine a bit this weekend, although moving people coming next week so got to help pack up the house!

Hello ladies, sorry for the delay, it's been a bit crazy here. I'll update fully once I'm home but Joshua Michael was born by emergency c-section at 21.31 on 9/4/15 weighing 8lb 1oz.

I had quite a time of it & we're still in hospital but hopefully going home tomorrow, fingers crossed!

Pahahaha I wouldn't bank on growth scans either! They estimated my girl to be 6lb 13oz and she came out at 5lb 12lb lol. I'm up for growth scans too at 28 and 32 and 34 weeks.

OMG im at the top. Though why that surprises me when Im Over due, I just don't know!

No natural progress yet. I'm getting more and more tired and achey as each day goes by so Im hoping my appointment goes well tomorrow. I think they'll give me a sweep but also book me in for either induction or c section for end of the week as I'll then be 9 days over. Im Hoping they won't wait till the week after because then it will probably have to be c section as baby could be 10 pounder by then!

I know the growth scans have to be taken with a pinch of salt but I've had 5 in the last couple months and there is a consistent growth between each scan and they all have said baby is large.

Hope things happen soon Milly and that the appointment goes well tomorrow.

Can't believe i am 32 weeks tomorrow, going so quick at the moment. Is my DD's birthday next weekend so am in full preparation mode for that then i might panic about getting baby stuff ready after :rotfl:.

Today is my last day at work. Excited and sad. Been there 10 years. I am planning to take the full 12 months off. Last time I had this long off without a routine I was 4!


Decided to finish a week early as I am just too knackered with all the classes and appointments etc.


Also due to the GTT they want to induce me on my due date (1 May) so I want as much time off before if possible. I am also hoping not to go with induction as I know the bodies natural drugs are better than the synthetic ones. So I have booked a course of acupuncture to help get things going a little earlier and I have a sweep booked for 22nd. I may still try to negotiate the induction date if it has not happened by my due date.


Had a baby bump photo shoot yesterday and really loved it. Can't wait to see the results. I feel this is such a special time and you can't look more feminine than when you are pregnant. (Even though we don't always feel it, ha ha).


Have a good no comfortable day ladies. Next time I write I will be on maternity leave. Woo hoo!
