Had to go back down to ASDA today. Didnt get flour to make the melanzanie, or motsarella, juice for grandchildren and more milk, as daughter takes baby tea. so spent just under a fiver, it,s all going pear shaped but I wont beat myself up for it. Grandaughter had a cookery lesson today, got her to make the chilli and bolognese, the girl done good! Daughter ended up making the melanzanie YUM-YUM, and was in one of her tidy-freak moods so all went quite well today apart from the extra outlay. Just sampling one of my six bottles and very nice it is too, have a good weekend:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o

Hi all
Just posting to say I'm still here... Not spent any more yet, not had any time to get to the shops this week.
Mum and Dad went shopping earlier and I asked them to get me potatoes for tomorrow's roast, grapes, strawberries and low fat vanilla yougurt. Will update the total when I know how much it costApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
Weekly update from me, sorry I haven't read all the posts but hope you're all doing well.
First week over and I spent £29 in Asda, Co-op, Iceland and Mr T's. Supermarket tart that I am. I've taken to keeping a non-urgent shopping list in my handbag so that I'm not making special trips out. And sticking to the list more importantly.
I've got to go up to the retail park later today so I'll be popping in (and very quickly out) to Mr T's with my hit list for the bulk of the week's food shopping. Aiming to spend no more than £20 so I've a tenner left for any bad planning before next Sunday.
Have a good week, catch up next Sunday and good luck!

Did the shopping yesterday and spent £50, but I did pick up a dozen packs of quorn fillets for £1.00 whereas I'd normally only buy 1 bag a week at £2.00, so should start saving that money in the coming weeks!DFW Nerd Club #545 Dealing With Our Debt

Recieved another £4.00 of luncheon vouchers from survey thingy yesterday. Now the thing is this, do I have the guts to start a pin money challenge yet, or just use these for milk and bread therefore making myself look good?:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o

Have now spent £54.28 of £120 budget BUT today was a trip to Farmfoods clutching my £2.50 off if you spend £25 voucher. My partner is a veggie and loves quorn but it's so stupidly expensive, I managed to get loads of things there though including products I haven't seen at any of the supermarkets near us...ended up spending £24.50 (after voucher) in there and also took Tesco up on their 30% off 6 bottles of wine offer and got 6 for just over £15 which will last us into August as we only have one bottle some weekends...I don't really like buying wine from my grocery budget because it eats up so much
Feeling good, am well stocked now, rest of the month should be just bread, milk, eggs and vegetables.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member #398 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :T
