Well, their mistake. But don't let your anger with one company affect your opportunities. It 'won't teach them a lesson' - it's only you who will lose out, not 'them'.
!!!!!! thoughA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Awww! Don't let it ruin other opportunities! Their loss. They will see it sooner or later!NoOneAround wrote: »Re Christmas pressies I only by for kids
and apart from a few boxes of chocs and bottles of wine (Laithwaites - I buy when I get £50 off per case) don' t buy for adults:). Hope you have reached an acceptable decision on what to do...
I only buy for children and my parents. Best. Decision. Ever. Do a secret santa with OH family and sis in law family but hopefully this is the only year.
Not only did it remove the financial burden but the shopping/pressure of buying LOADs of presents!

I am very sorry HB but don't let it bring you down. The same thing happened to me at the start of this pretty poor year. After spending about 48 hours putting together my CV, I didn't even get the courtesy of a letter or email turning me down and only found out about the decision when the 'superb' successful applicant was announced.
Having now worked with the 'superb' for most of the year I know the job wasn't for me and if that is what is required then so be it. I can't play act and wouldn't be able to present this nonsense with a straight face. I have promised myself that I will only apply for a job again if I need to (which I probably will at some time) but will not go through these ups and downs for a pay rise. I am focusing on trying to make the most of what I get paid each monthNot doing very well with that this month as the 'superb' is late with the expenses
Don't take any notice of me though - my work is a nutty place :rotfl:!!!

You never know you may get a call in a month when it all goes pear shaped and they need the best person NOW!Must use my stash up!0

Hi HB. Keep the faith. You are obviously a fantastic person and if that employer could not see how perfect a candidate you were, then they did not deserve to be fortunate enough to have an excellent employee as you.0

Thanks guys. I'm over it. It's so their loss. I've asked for feedback, but haven't had any yet, only an email acknowledging my credentials and track record and saying ' we can only appoint one person '. They finished by telling me I have an awesome job already and hope I will have many years success in it! Mad! Anyway, onto the rapid count up towards Christmas. I'm so not ready and what's more, I have no money. What has gone wrong this month, I don't know, but the money has gone. I have £14 to get me through. I might have to be strategically ill for the works do next week. And no one will be getting any presents either because I have NO money to buy any.
I want to hibernate till January...Feb 2014 to now

Maybe it is a blessing in disguise that you can't buy any presents - you went through such turmoil thinking about what to buy people and how to tell people who you barely see that you would not be buying for them.
Will your OH not buy any presents?
Have you brought your food shopping for the month already?
I know you said you don't know where it has gone but in a few days can you try and work out where it has gone so you can work out where there are gaps in the budget and prepare ahead for next year. (I'm thinking the clothes that you purchased - do you have something in your budget for clothes each month that can be put to one side ready for when you need to buy?)
Are you offers to creditors too high?
Do you want to post another FS so we can have a look at where we can see gaps?0 -
