Good idea about the scarf, INOD and seriously thinking about the charity gift idea, elephant. Your idea is good too NOA, but I just don't want to spend the money, it seems a waste tbh. I will not give gifts for the sake of it!
Well have had a very low spend couple of days. Three NDS out of four and only spent £4.50 on the 4th day, so not bad at all. Off to the hairdressers this afternoon. Got to get the hair in shape for next week's interview! OH is off to the auction house today. He has found a new pastime and is perfecting his auction technique. He is on the lookout for furniture or other stuff that he can get cheap, do up and either keep or sell on. There's a lot of good stuff there today. Looking forward to seeing what he comes home with. Room decoration has stalled a bit. He will have to get on with the painting at the weekend, though, because the fire surround will be here next week if all goes to plan. We have gone for a limestone one. We can't agree on window dressing. I want shutters, he thinks they will block out too much light, but I'm not keen on curtains. I might have to compromise on that one because the bay window would be tricky for shutters anyway. Loving the light fresh look to the room now. Just need to crack on and finish. OH is not good at that...Feb 2014 to now

Been out to Matalan to get something to wear at next weeks interview. Spent £50, but got £20 off, so not bad. Shoes were £12. Also been to hairdressers, so feeling much better now I've been spruced up a bit. Doing a fair today, so fingers crossed I make some money.Feb 2014 to now

Well, the fair was mediocre...£40, but at least it's something. First job interview down. Didn't get that job, but actually think it was a lucky escape. It wasn't for me. Got another one on Thurs that's more my style I think. Fingers crossed for that one.
Busy week ahead, but seeing friends at the weekend, so really looking forward to that. Spending has been minimal and cash boosted by the fair proceeds. Currently on track in the most difficult month of the year.
Here's to a good day today.Feb 2014 to now

Hey HB,
Good Luck for your next interview - got everything crossed for you! I did a book fair last Saturday and only sold £50 (= 10 profit) but paid ten for the table for the preschool fundraising, so only petrol cost down (14 miles return trip)Fairs are so hit and miss.
Re Christmas pressies I only by for kidsand apart from a few boxes of chocs and bottles of wine (Laithwaites - I buy when I get £50 off per case) don' t buy for adults:). Hope you have reached an acceptable decision on what to do...
Have a lovely day.
xx

Thanks NOA. I've had to pay a bill, so will prob not have enough money left to buy Christmas presents at all at this rate!
Second interview down and just waiting for the verdict. My conclusion is I am patently the best applicant and if they don't choose me it is so their loss. I'll let you know how it goes.Feb 2014 to now

!!!!!!. They appointed the acting deputy! I am actually appalled. So I will continue where I am. It is a crap decision, but their loss and my companies gain. But !!!!!!! How do these people make these decisions! I was patently the most qualified person and they have chosen someone who will not be able to deliver! That's it. I'm not doing it ever again. !!!!!. Sorry for the language xFeb 2014 to now
