Reeling from the Reality Check

If you're on FB then it might be worth setting up a page for your crafty stuff too - advertise it on the local selling sites.
All the Christmas craft fairs round here are booked up months in advance - my local village one takes bookings on the day for next years....I've tried 4 years now to get in, given up now.
Glad the party went well - it's surprising how little food you need in reality for these things."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Thanks, Pooky. I might see if daughter will let me sell from her fb page as she has built up quite a following for her business. If I can't get in on the craft fairs, I will take a Sat stall on the town market. They let casual traders take any unmanned stalls on a daily basis. Will give it a go anyway.Feb 2014 to now

Day 2 and only spent £3 so far. I've decided to use the paper diary I was given to track spending. I can write in it every night. I'm a bit fed up with electronics.Feb 2014 to now

As much as I love it on here, there is something to be said for writing things down on paper. Plus I have a pen and stationery fetish, lol xDebt remaining:

I am the same, nothing like a shiny, new notebook all fresh and ready to use

I know. I have a bit of a weakness for nice new notebooks. This one's a lovely soft one with elastic in the style of a Moleskine, but half the price. I'm away for a few days on a business trip from today, so should only be spending expenses till Monday. And, you never know, I might get time to write in my other notebook to perfect my plot outline. It's nearly there, just needs tweaking.
One other busy weekend after this one, then I can concentrate on money making schemes in the run up to Christmas.Feb 2014 to now

I like lovely notebooks too, find it very hard to resist buying, have many on the go! And nice paper......
A couple of years ago we got a brand new H0bbyCrft store on of the retail parks. In an ideal world where money plants really fruited money I would be in heaven if I lived in HbyCrft store combined with an art shop/stationers in the middle of a national park surrounded by hills/woods and Nature :heartpuls
Have a great trip HB

Me too NOA, I have loads of notebooks, can't resist them.
Well, 23 days to go till next payday and I've fallen off the wagon a bit. I have a busy weekend this coming weekend, then I can really focus on making some more money. I'm booking the markets today. I'm so fed up of not having any money. OH is moaning about cash flow, but I've said to him. There is no credit anymore...that's the bottom line. If we haven't go it it can't be spent. Simple.
I've even been looking at jobs with an increase in salary, but they are all far away and would involve commuting and overnight stays, which would defeat the object. I've also thought about increasing the mortgage term to reduce the payment, because that is a big killer payment each month. I think I'll wait it out for now because once I get some more money coming in through the markets it will make a big difference...hopefullyFeb 2014 to now
