  • Two days of no alcohol...v good. Spent more than I intended on the food shop yesterday, £44. As I was going round I kept noticing things that had almost run out or we needed, so I got them and now should not have to buy anything else till the end of the month apart from essentials like milk and bread. I've started bagging up the loaf of bread into bags of four slices and freezing it to save it being wasted...good MSE. I really want to be more frugal with the food shopping, though. I have got the amount down a lot! But I could spend much less. It's really hard being consistent. NSD today. 12 days till payday. Surviving.

  • Just received the latest CC default paperwork. Just the loan and overdrafts to go now, but they are still marked as up to date at the moment.
Had a quiet morning getting on with paperwork and thinking about how I can earn some more money. I've decided I'm going to do some weekend market stalls with some handmade gifts and greetings cards. With Christmas coming up, there will be markets and craft fairs etc, so I'm going to have a go. I chose greetings cards because a) there are loads of occasions and b) everyone buys them. I had a look at a party plan greetings card thing, but you had to buy the cards from them and they were too expensive. I'm sure I can do it much cheaper. I'll spend a few weeks making and gathering stock and aim to do the first market by mid October. If it ends up not being worth it daughter can always take the stuff for her stall.
    Right. Now back to work.

Have thought about doing something similar so many times HB, as love doing crafty (as in art...not sly ;)) things.

  • I love making things as well NOA. I'm definitely going to have a go to see if I can sell some.
OH is feeling good! He's just had a £500 win on a scratch card. He only buys the £1 ones now and again and he's struck lucky! Yay! The weekend entertainment is on him! He already paid for tickets to the gig earlier in the summer, now he can pay for the diesel and food and drink as well. Brilliant.
    Another NSD for me!

  • Thanks guys! Happy days!
Three days of no alcohol and another NSD on the cards today. Looking forward to the weekend. Yay!
Also one of the overdrafts has gone below £5000. Now I need the loan and one of the CCs to get below the £10000. That will be a psychological motivator!

    1) It's Friday!
    2) Building up stock for the stall
    3) Got enough diesel left to last into next week
11 days to go till payday. I must get the big stuff I want to sell up on the selling sites on Monday.

  • Got home early. Feeling happy the sun's out and having a little glass of wine on the patio...it counts as the weekend. Getting ready to go see daughter tomorrow, then gig on Sunday. Parking the finances and debt situation until Monday. Have a good weekend everyone!
