Channel 4 report fake jobs?

I'd be very interested to learn how this "£1 per CV uploaded" thing actually works, does anyone know?
Who pays the money?
How would one set up an account, and collect the money?
Who, exactly owns "CV Library" and the other "handlers" on UJM, and how would we find out?
Can anyone shed light on this?0 -

UJM has been criticised for allowing Company Confidential jobs.
You have to make your own judgement overall how it all looks.
Ps: I've seen your other thread, but you need to cover your back and apply for enough jobs to keep your advisor happy so you don't get referred for sanction.0 -
The ridiculous situation here is that the DWP force people on JSA to use organisations that are clearly fraudulent.0

She's never said anything about the amount of jobs I apply for cos I always apply for loads, but she said.I need to be explaining in detail why on some job searchs I'm not finding anything suitable, it can't be helped on some jobsites there isn't anything I'm suitably qualified to to, but apparently I need to explain in more detail why I'm not qualified to do some jobs that are advertised0

The JobcentrePlus offices are now only interested in finding a way to throw "clients" off benefits.
Read your Jobseeker agreement carefully, and fulfil the requirements to the letter. If you do that, any sanction they try will fail on appeal.0 -

I am following my requirements to the letter, I think the person I signed on with was just being picky as is she couldn't really criticize me for doing anything wrong, cos my diarys always full and I ended up having to add extra sheets to it, and I always apply for loads of jobs and send loads of speculative letters out0 -
Just had a phone call from Geoffrey Robinson MP for Coventry.
He said that it is a police matter, which is fair enough, and that he is going to email the new assist chief constable about the matter.
I asked about UJM, and I said that the thing was a disgrace, and that it was making life a misery for the people who MUST use it.
He said that he can't remember anyone complaining about it to his office!
Fair play to the man for contacting me, but it does show how out of touch these politicians are.

Are you thinking of doing this yourself?:rotfl:0 -

I agree with you totally.
I have had money taken out of my bank account fraudulently twice in the last 4-6 weeks. I do suspect that this has happened because I have applied for dodgy jobs advertised on the UJM website, where they have somehow obtained my details from my CV (in addition to which, I have left myself logged in to one or two websites such as Itunes overnight in the past, because I am not automatically a security-conscious person - much like many other people, I suspect).
DWP should be doing their damndest to check out these organisations that want to place "job adverts" on the website, before giving the go-ahead.
Otherwise they cannot sanction people who are wary of applying for jobs that look dodgy, morally.Of course, this means nothing to the DWP. They just want to look good in the Conservative government's eyes.
What a sham. And what is the end result achieved through this. !!!!!! all, apart from sanctioning some poor people who do not know how the system works.0 -
