Benefits Help after Resigning
Comments
-
You really need to get some advice as you are quite likely to get a big sanction, aka no money for up to 6 months. Mortgage interest help doesn't kick in until 13 weeks either.
You have given up a job, by breaking the rules. You need advice and to be looking for a new job ASAP. In that respect your reference is going to help you more, as no matter how long you string it out you're going to be left with no job, no benefits and no reference (and possibly legal proceedings looking at your last post)
I'd resign and be looking for ANY job.0 -
And how can you trust that the reference will be available. You are trusting everything they say here. They could still sack you and withhold the reference and thats why I think you need to see a lawyer, so that if you do resign that a reference is negotiated legally.
Please dont take their word for it and just resign because they are telling you to.
You need that reference negotiated before you leave, if you dont do that you will be in a much weaker position than you are right now.
Get legal advice as soon as you can before you hand your notice in.0 -
