I forgot, I've only ever had a tiny cold sore maybe twice before but I have one now. I thought it had gone away but it's now back. The pharmacist said there's nothing I can take. Any ideas?

Peonie I am a G...g for ginormous I always say!

Girls, you are scaring me about this whole waxing thing. I have never even had my legs waxed! I was meant to before my honeymoon but I got there and she said the hairs were too short (I thought leaking it a week since shaving would be enough but apparently not!)

Um, cold sore....toothpaste on it to dry it up? I actually have no idea! Just googled quickly and NHS website says to speak to your GP if you have cold sores and are pregnant, so lots of use that is!

I had a wax once and looked like a plucked chicken for about a week.

Seriously Daisie, if you've not done it before then I wouldn't do it now, it would put you off forever! I've been getting my waxing done for years and seriously considering giving it a miss now until the end of the year. Will see how my next appointment goes before I make that decision though as it's just before my holidays.

Oh lord. Then how am I going to be neat and tidy when I can no longer reach?! (Which, to be honest, is pretty much now! We are on no marital relations at the moment since the bleeding and I think hubby is in for a surprise when we get the go ahead again!):eek::eek:

On that note though, I have had no blood for around 10 hours! This is very exciting. As a result, and due to being signed off work, I actually felt relaxed today for the first time since the bleeding started. Possibly too relaxed....I did no work so will be paying for that at the weekend :(

Finger crossed for your then that the bleeding is subsiding and will stop altogether.
Ask hubby to do the trimming for you! Mine wouldn't but he's quite happy to get the tweezers out if he thinks it's going to be a good ingrown hair or something that he can dig at! And that's on any part of my body!

    Uh-oh....TMI again lol

And on that note, it may be Friday night but me and my sore bits are off to bed as I just fell asleep on the living room floor and got a kick and told to go to bed! Oops! Nanite all

My goodness I can't keep up.

I regularly get headaches and I wouldn't before pg. Makes work a stinker. I either hope it's busy so time goes but then it seem worse when I stop or that it's quiet so I can get away with being less than on form. For the first time in month I am sleeping for 9 hours a night with only one loo trip. From the start of pg my sleep has been really light and waking frequently. Hoping I can sleep in tomorrow.

Definitely artly related to dehydration. I drink a lot more now. Also related to how tired I am. Nausea related to tried and'or hungry but hs eased off.

Getting a funny pain on sneezing which is an ache down my left side from my belly to my groin. Can also get the same on turning over in bed too quickly. Both times it scares the cr*p out of me that I've injured myself/the baby.

Ah well, another worry to addd to the list.

On a lovely note I bumped into an old colleague. When I last saw her in 2011 she was due to be going off on mat leave in very early 2012 with her first baby at 40 due to IVF as she had cancer treatment. Seeing her today she has a lovely two year old and number 2 is due in August! So glad it all worked out in the end as she naturally felt it was never going to at one point :j

Meant to say that I also get that stretchy tummy to groin pain when I turn over too quick. Gives you a short sharp shock. Good to hear its not just me, and you describe it perfectly.

    Hi ladies

    Can I join?

I am due 17th October and have my 20 week scan booked in for 29th May (I am definitely finding out - no team yellow here).

This will be my second. I have a 22 month son who is the light of my life. The prospect of having 2 kids is a little scary at the moment and it doesn't seem real yet. I've been lurking on this thread a bit and have told work and close family and friends. Haven't gone public other than that! I figure that I will try and let people know before the 20 week scan...

Having tried waxing for the first time about the week before I got pregnant I won't be doing it again this pregnancy! I'm a wimp and DS came early last time so I wasn't prepared in that sense in any event and it was the last thing I was concerned about on the day anyway. Helps if you need stitching though!

Peonie did you find what you needed on maternity leave and holiday? I don't think your employer can make you take your holiday before the start of the maternity. It continues to accrue as do bank holidays in addition. I tagged on mine to the end of my leave last time and had a couple of pay packets before I started back which was nice!
