Official Trying to Conceive - Thread 11

I had my scan & it was good, got 1 16mm follicle on one side, I thought I did as I've been having a lot of aching on that side for the last couple of days.

They said I'd be due to ovulate on the weekend, good timing as we're away for hubbys birthday & its the start of my week off work. Think I'll test from tomorrow & operation BD starts from tonight, every other day. Exciting & scary, feels like this is our 1st real shot at it as I've had no idea when or if I been ovulating up to now!

Hi Wegle

The reflexology wasn't really my thing but I know many people had it and enjoyed it so I gave it a try back in November and lo and behold, I fell pregnant that cycle (sadly I had a MMC of triplets) but it worked so I decided to return to her as she specialises in fertility.

For me, it's more to do with focusing the mind, relaxing and taking time out to reduce stress ahead of the ovulation window but also the reflexology is done on particular parts of the body (through the feet) so this week she worked on my ovaries, hormones, pituitary gland, etc and was adamant that my left ovary is very active.

Normally I ovulate around day 16 (so predicted for this Sunday) and last month I ov'd at day 20 which was very late but so was my AF. This morning (CD13) I've woken to a spike in my temperature and my CB monitor has gone from 2 days of highs, to a peak plus the IC also had a strong second line this morning.

I can't help but think there's something in it and am hopeful this is our cycle.

Sulphate - I really sympathise - it's horrible when your body just doesn't seem to do what it's supposed to and I hope it starts behaving soon. x

Jay - Good luck for this cycle but sorry you had to return - I totally understand and also had to have an ERPC. My first cycle afterwards was 29 days so I was quite pleased with that but last cycle was 34 and this cycle I seem to be ov'ing early so please be kind to yourself and aware that your body might be a bit naughty for a few cycles afterwards - hugs x

Thanks for that Gelly, it's really interesting. After having an osteopath absolutely transform my husband from a bed bound wreck to an upright person able to walk within half an hour I have a lot more respect and interest in alternative treatments. I think I'll definitely keep it on my radar for future months.

:wave:Afternoon Everyone


I haven't posted in ages, we've been so busy in work and at home that I've only managed a few snatched minutes to follow everyone but not post myself

Hugs to everyone that needs/wants them and I'm hoping that April will bring lots of BFPs.

AFM I'm CD51 today of my second cycle after stopping my pill. I thought the first one was long enough at 43 days!
I don't know if/when I've OV this month but have had three separate lots of EWCM (sorry TMI!) the 1st and 3rd time were small amounts but the 2nd was quite a bit. I've had a word with myself for SS which I am trying not to do as I know (in my head) that there is no chance of a BFP but I'm also annoyed that this cycle is so long - I know I'm being impatient as it can take months to get a normal cycle back but I am lacking patience at the moment!
We're away this weekend so I'm going to try and switch off TTC and just relax and enjoy myself! (I bet AF turns up to spoil it!)

Morning Ladies,

Nothing from me - AF is due tomorrow so I took a test today which was a BFN .... I think AF is coming as I am having the usual pre AF cramps. I have been writing down my symptoms though this month so I can get an idea of them for next month like heartburn which I associate with being pregnant. I don't think i'll just be able to switch off and see what happens

If no AF by Monday I will do another test I am sure I only got a very faint positive last time on CD29 which was 15 days past ovulation according to my ff chart

Anyone else testing? I am ashamed to say I tested last week but I was just being silly
