As a bloke it REALLY P's me off to hear stories like this. If I were to ever split from my wife (Which I have no intention of doing may I say) I would do anything for my kids (Within reason obviously!)
Why do blokes not take responsibility for their kids? Why do parent always seem to use them as a tool to "get back" at the other parent...... your Husband needs to grow a set and take responsibility for his actions and his children.... sounds like he needs a good slap !!
Anyway. on a more constructive note;...
Lorry drivers get Holidays too..... They are limited in the hours they can drive...... I'm sure he's not sat in a Lorry 7 days a week!! Don't know your job, sorry if I missed it but can you possibly change your hours of work over the summer to suit the days he's not working? i.e can you do weekends, irregular hours or night shifts?0 -
Not all men are like you warmhands.coldhands
My ex behaves in the same way as the OP's. Its all a game to them. You see, the way they think is that if they do anything for the kids, they are actually doing it for you. They will only do the bare minimum so to everyone else they appear to be a good dad.
I don't bother to ask my ex to have our dd during school holidays. Don't want the dramatics and jedi mind tricks only for him to say no or not give me an answer at all.
OP needs to stop asking him because he takes pleasure in the games.
I just use holiday clubs and take time off.Dave Ramsey Fan[/COLOR]0 -
Bublin, It's not just men, the women can be as bad...
Off topic a bit but I know of a case personally where a, lets say, "Friend" of my mife's separated from her partner. They had a child together and the Mother INSISTED the child go to his fathers every other weekend..... Child hated going, broke down every time they were sent but mother still sent them as it suited her "Social Life"... She loved her Social life, and still does !! Turns out father was abusing the child. Now I know it's not the mothers fault for the abuse, but how could she send the child to the fathers when they were in such a state when told they had to go back! It's heart breaking......0
