Thanks. The PCN looks fine. It says 'Contravention: parked for longer than permitted' which I was, the times are correct, date, my number plate, tax disc all correct. I was definitely in the wrong so must pay my dues - we can survive on lentil and potato soup for a week without dropping dead!
Rather than a personal issue, which doesn't matter that much, I'm beginning to feel a bit angry that cash isn't allowed - it's the principle!.
None of the above is very relevant to checking if a PCN is 'fine' in its wording. Please give it a whirl and post a picture of your PCN on pepipoo here:

..include a picture or pepipoo posters of the back of the PCN as well, please, as the faults are often in the small print - you have no idea until you try. Most people win on that forum in the end, after a couple of fairly simple appeal stages if the posters can spot a case for appeal for you. OP stated was at fault, so no use appealing that one.
In the past i've appealed two, and got off. A nice letter usually does the trick!Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

You are saying that to a regular pepipoo poster who KNOWs that to be completely not the case! Almost every Council PCN an be won on pepipoo and it's nothing to do with whether they 'are bang to rights'!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
