Highest speed for a speed awareness course

I'm slightly surprised, having been stopped by a policeman who showed me a video of my car hitting 100mph in a 70 mph zone, to be offered a speed awareness course by letter a month or so later (or FPN or go to court if I so wish).
While not settting a challenge to beat this, has anybody got away with a speed awareness course for a higher speed?
I think I'll get the course booked before they change their minds.

I thought you got a TOR and someone else made the decision.
But if you say that's what happened the who are we to argue.0 -
Usually it is when you are only slightly over the limit that the speed awareness is offered (although I do not know if there is a certain % that is applied)
You're pretty lucky by all accounts though :-D0 -
You did well. 100 mph often means a ban.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

That's pretty unusual in my opinion, as 100mph is well over any threshold recommended by the Association of Chief Police Officers, which is what I thought almost every region used.

The OP may have 'hit' 100mph, but I wonder what speed is on the FPN?0

Since you've edited your original post my guess this is going straight to court.0 -

As I stated originally, I have been offered a speed awareness course. So I won't be choosing to go to court and I'm not being compelled to.0 -

Good luck with that, you may not have an option.0 -
