These are much better speeds than I ever got with giffgaff!0

I can confirm that the trick mentioned in this thread works. My data speeds were identical whether i was on 2g or 3g but after i got to the Ovivo Now page my speeds shot up. Soon after they drop back down though so its necessary to keep viewing the ad page.0

Download on Ovivo with an Ipad, possibly three weeks per page, absolutely useless, but matches the cost, so you get what you pay for.
I downloaded the app, switched off the wifi so that it didn't interfere with the mighty Ovivo, after five minutes of trying to locate nearest server, it gave up and showed, Network communication error, in other words it's !!!!!! ; )0 -

I just remembered why I don't rely on Ovivo for data...
4 bars of 3G====0 -
Was 0.01Mb/s down/0.02Mb/s up.
Went to the home page
Clicked through "continue"
Became 0.08Mb/s down/0.08Mb/s up.
If Ovivo is applying traffic shaping to those who don't watch adverts (I rarely use the browser on this device) I don't think that is unreasonable.
I've had a good 6 months on Ovivo and reasonable service for my £15 credit (which I still have all of) so I've no complaints.
I have the SIM in an old phone used for streaming and podcasts in the car. Streaming Radio (typically 48kb/s streams) seems to work OK in practice.
If it gets too bad I'll try spending my £15 on paid for service then take my custom elsewhere.
Does anyone know how long that initial credit lasts ?0 -

Seems to last forever, I've had the original credit from the day I signed up which was in the first few months Ovivo began trading.====0 -
Ovivo's own website (http://support.ovivomobile.com/support/solutions/articles/188421-speed-tests-and) states that they may throttle a test by Ookla Speedtest.net.
I was only getting about 0.1Mbps using that, so tried the Ovivo recommended mobilespeedtest.com and get 467Kbps-869Kbps.
It seems fast enough in usage, just can struggle sometimes on the train, but I put that down to travelling near to 100mph?Toyota - 'Always a better way', avoid buying Toyota.0 -
How long after resetting the speed via browser use does the speed drop down again? Do you have to keep viewing a browser every few hours?0
