Ok.
So I have just recently came across this thread after receiving the letter sent out by EE regarding the changes dated the 7th of April I think it was.
I decided to fire off an email to EE written up by RC in the hope I would still have a chance to cancel my contract early due to the change in T&Cs. I still don't know if I have missed the boat in regards to achieving this. There is just too much to read on this thread and it has me confused.
I received a reply by letter today from EE and it says..
EE Account Number : XXXXXXXXX
I am sorry you are unhappy with the recent change in your terms and conditions I must advise you are able to seek independent advice from CISAS.
Under Ofcom regulations all communication providers must subscribe to an independent adjudication scheme, EE is a member of the Communications and Internet Services Adjudication Scheme (CISAS). If you so wish you may seek advice on this matter from CISAS, contact details for CISAS are:
CISAS
International Dispute Resolution Centre
70 Fleet Street
London
EC4Y 1EU
Email : info@cisas.org.uk
Phone no. 020 7520 3827
Please be advised EE now considers this case to be closed.
Yours sincerely
Executive Office, EE
Now, I appreciate you probably have a lot of people asking this same question so I would appreciate even the simplest of answers and a little reason why
Thanks
You have not missed the boat (you have 30 days to request cancellation). I am a little confused as to why you only received a notification of the T&C change until April, was that notification actually the PRICE INCREASE notification or the change in T&Cs?
And can you confirm which email you sent?0 -
Copy pasting post from SharnBrown on post #1203:

Hey all,
I sent the first email to Olaf.Swantee@ee.co.uk and executive.office@ee.co.uk on 13/4/14 and still haven't received a response yet.
Should I re-send the email or?
Thanks
Price rise or change in T&Cs email?0 -
Let me get this right:
We have six weeks to respond to CISAS, when they rule in our favour.
EE then take, what, 2 weeks to accept and send us our PAC.
We then have 4 weeks to use our PAC.
So really, we could have up to 12 weeks use of our phone for free? Oh, PLUS the 4-8 weeks back dated bills.0 -
Yes that's right. You'll have to pay the bills in the meantime but then EE will have to refund the lot.
It actually makes EE a value for money service* for that short time if you actually get a phone signal you can use
* You won't often hear that said about EE0 -
Only just picked up this thread after googling 'EE price rise what can i do?'.
My own situation is slightly complicated by the fact that the phone in question is my teenage sons (for which i took out a contract in Feb 2013 with Orange but was transferred to EE (by them not me) in May 2013). Reason i say its complicated is that my son didn't inform me of any texts from EE re T&Cs earlier in the year and he can't remember getting one.
Recently i received the letter (leaflet) telling me prices are going up on the contract which already costs me £37 a month (always has additional charges and is £10 more than the same calls/texts/data i have with Tesco for my daughters phone!)
My question is can i still follow the process set out in this thread or have i missed the boat?0 -

I confirm the letter received was in relation to your Orange account. As you have now migrated to EE onto one of the newly released plans, the increase is not applicable to you at present.
Should you require any further assistance or clarification, please call 150 directly from your EE phone.
Yours sincerely

I received my text and my T&C's contain the 2.11.3 and 7.2.3.2 clauses regarding cancelling without payment within the 30days.
Not too sure where you will stand with this,
The ee website says ;
"The new terms and conditions affect all customers who joined or upgraded on or after 30 October 2012 and before 23 January 2014"
Probably best to see what RC has to say, as i'm sure there will still be an claim.
Did you upgrade over the phone? Were you told of the change in terms then?0
