Mine has been paid now too.
Why are people mentioning compensation?Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
50p saver #40 £20 banked
Virtual sealed pot #178 £80.250 -
I was rather startled when I noticed this a few days ago, and even though the correct amount of interest has now been added, I'm rather disappointed by the complete lack of communication.
It's a bit lame that I found out about this from MSE rather than NatWest themselves. Would it really have been too hard to notify affected customers and avoid all the unnecessary worry?0 -
I also found out about this via MSE email but have just looked at my account and received only 5% of my usual interest on Monday followed by a top-up today of the rest so haven't lost out in the end. Not a peep from Nat West though.0
-
It happened end of December and end of January, my branch gave a poor explanation of the cause at the beginning of January.
Nothing on the Nat West site by way of an explanation , they can change their web page promotions etc daily but no short explanation put up or link for those concerned.
Should it happen end of this month 2 more ISA's will move . Fast loosing any remaining faith/trust in RBS/Nat West.
Loosing more customers probably will not effect their bonuses this year.
The Santander 123 have just got 2 new current account customers lets see if they do better ?0 -

Why are people mentioning compensation?
MSE always says claim compoDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0 -
Looks like this has happened again this month0

Seems about right for me , although I haven't actually calculated the interest - it's lower that previous months, but then the rate's gone down.
They are paying the temporary six month 0.3% bonus separately to the interest though, which may be what you've spotted ?0 -

To quote RBS, who have offered no explanation "It's definitely a strange one".
I am rapidly losing my patience with RBS.0 -
No, this month interest is <1% (0.9%) I think, as they have changed the rates...0
-
RBS just told me there's a problem affecting all ISAs and they're looking into it as a matter of urgency.
It's beginning to look like their IT systems are fundamentally broken.0
