Tinkle aka Andy, will be up the ladder soon cleaning out his gutters, repairing the fascia boards, and pruning back the miles of hedgerow on his estate. That's after completing the monthly 900 mile round trip to run a few errands.

Ermmm suggest you get some specs !!! I didn't say you only take pain meds duhhh !!!

I quoted that you said that your mobility and care needs are REMOVED due to medication.

Not the same thing at all.....

Correct, my mobility and care needs have been removed because of the pain medication I take. I claim DLA ONLY for the needs that were created by those conditions that caused the pain and nothing else. I didn't go into the whole saga about anything else. If I did that there would not have been enough space on the DLA claim form. Grief - not everybody gives chapter and verse about everything that is wrong with them - I would be here all day if I had to do that.

DLA was awarded due to the needs caused by the pain & discomfort associated with (a) Arthritis (b) damaged spine at the base due to a sports injury (c) Peripheral neuropathy and (d) peripheral artery disease.

Likewise, and slightly off subject, I did the same with the ESA claim. I only gave details of the ones that I suffer from that were detailed on the sick note. If the GP was to put down everything he also would have needed continuation sheets for the sick note.

ESA was granted (Support Group) on the problems associated with (a) Chronic Pancreatitis (b) pancreatic pseudocyst (c) collaterals of the stomach wall and (d) splenic vein thrombosis.

There are other benefits that I claim for in respect of other serious conditions not mentioned above.

Hence why my monthly repeat script is 5 and a half pages in length!

    Happy now??
  • Are you allowed someone else to come in with you?

Yes you are, but I go in alone as my wife cannot make the journey.

    Why do you say that?

Shame that you view those that are sick and disabled as simply having a vivid imagination.

Post number 24 is in fact the truth believe it or not. But I simply don't care whether you do or not as your postings once again fail to impress me and like it or not, show you up for what you are - when unable to offer any help you become personally critical of the poster!

Surely they have to pass you the statement so you can sign it?

Read it then simples. Now back under your bridge.

You don't get the time to read it.
It is a booklet type of form that the doctor has completed which is turned round but the doctor does not release it. Obviously because it contains his/her opinion and verdict elsewhere on the form.

Much the same that the assessor for an ESA claim will not print off the report whilst you are sat there as it would show what they have written about you.

As I thought - nothing constructive or helpful.

Excuse me I was very helpful on your far fetched mortgage proposition I even did the figures for you!! :) So I'm not sure why you "thought" in advance?

I think it is an interesting because the point you raise is a good one and I do feel concerned that someone much more vulnerable than yourself could be very compromised by the statement signing. By vulnerable I mean someone who would not even be able to write long lengthy in depth posts like you or I can. Who probably had no in depth knowledge of the "system" either, if any knowledge at all.

Post 24 - who would know what is truth or fantasy with you?...not trying to impress you whatsoever...your posts and track record show you for what you really are...and only been critical of you.

Your problem is you seem to have some credible knowledge of the benefit system but this is overidden with your need for attention..coming on here and storytelling is a sport to you.
You ridicule people with your insincerity, but yet accuse me of viewing 'sick and disabled' people as simply having a vivid imagination. When in truth it's just you that i view as a drama queen!

On another thread someone has been given 10 years before they are checked again, which to be honest is not what I thought PIP was all about. Based on that result there doesn't seem to be much difference between DLA & PIP awards.

I thought that it was to be more like ESA with a max of a 3 year award. Mind you they have tightened up already for Attendance Allowance awards - there are quite a lot with 1/2 year awards being given now before a retest and face to face assessment. For some reason they seem to be for those that are claiming needs relating to Arthritis, ME and Fibro - I wonder why!!!

And more Arthritis and M.E bashing here ..
    tinkledom wrote: »
I agree that Arthritis can be seen on scans/XRays. However that is it. There is no test that can prove that the deemed needs are that great. Many people have Arthritis some will be honest and describe their problems honestly and accurately others will exaggerate them simply because there is no test to prove the severity that is claimed.
As for ME/fibro, maybe you can enlighten me as to what tests can be carried out to prove those conditions and I don't mean a default acceptance and what tests can be made to prove that the needs claimed actually exist to the degree claimed?

    You truly are a hypocrite.

and yes i'm on here today rather than in work providing for my family. Cause i'm too poorly from my so called "non provable" condition.

I have been through six of these re-assessments so far, this is the seventh. The last one in February 2012, I did ask to read the last one myself, but the excuse given by the doctor was that I probably wouldn't be able to read her handwriting.

If they use this excuse again, ask them to type it up so you can read it, then sign it.

It's ridiculous that the handwriting on an official statement would be so bad that it can't be read.

Last week, it was his wife that was ill, but shouldn't be getting AA, and he was caring for her.

This week it's him that lost DLA, despite multiple disabilities, because he has better things to do than list his ailments for them, but obviously has nothing better to go thsn post lengthy stories with varying scenario's about his life lol.......:T

His wife cannot write, now he cannot, apparently either listen to a report being read, or read it himself. Must be fun in that house with all the loss of abilities ...:rotfl:

Relatives or him (depending on what thread we are on) are running about trying to spend an inheritance so they can carry on claiming it all.

He has to go alone to assessments because his wife is poorly, and he has no one - last week, he was berating me and telling him how lucky his adult kids were to have him as a father......

He can't keep up with his ever evolving family and identities, let alone everyone's disabilities within his home.

No wonder medical professionals are always confused around him....

First time I have ever felt sorry for the poor buggars at ATOS having to deal with this Lu-Lu. :wall:

Can you get benefits for being a fantasist?
